Any body know what model vehicle I need to buy a painless or similar harness for to complete a TBI conversion on my 2F. Do I want a Chevy van, s-10. Is there one that has lengths that are similar to a 40. I have done some searching and was unable to unearth an answer. BTW, my throttle body cand other components came out of an '89 GMC Safari. Does that matter?

P.S. I know downey sells a harness for the conversion, but I have heard it is just another chevy model harness, not a specific harness built for an FJ40. If I am wrong, please correct me. I wouldn't mind spending a little more for a harness that is designed to go in my truck, but I really don't want to give Downey a ton of money for them to redistribute a painless product to me at their markup.

Painless # on the box that I received from Downey a couple years ago...

Have not installed it, and do not know anything else about it.

Good luck!

I have used these folks and found that they make good harnesses also.
