I will shoot some pics
Switched the harness + vital electronic organs from the 87 and it runs sweet., smooth like butter.
Jim, you are probably correct with the problem with the late model harness, but now I can save that for a rainy day.
Took a water pump from a parts motor to fix that.
I have to take my electric fan controller back to JEGs because it does not work.
We are in "cleaning up" stage now.
Need to start fabricating exhaust.

no tuning for me, I will just run junk yard parts and be happy with below stock hp. I am trying to keep this on the cheap.

with the gearing we run I don't think the engine will make to much difference on the trail - could even be worse with the additional weight and torque causing breakage.
I was primarily looking for more power on the street. Looks like I might be able to wipe the cobwebs off of 5th gear now

What gears you running? My 7MGE is running 5.29, dual cases with stock gears, and 35s. I can idle down to 300RPM on the trail ! Your going to love it
