I know I put out the idea for a "cheap tricks" section here in the trucks area but never got the time. So I'm just going to start listing some things I've done and update them with pictures later(mostly due to the 100deg. 80% humidity summer weather).
So the first one I have to offer is the tow hitch. I really do not like the stock bumper of the 2nd gen 4x4 trucks and they look much better without a rear bumper. However, most receiver bars are made to set under the stock bumper. This means I had to find a hitch that would tuck up around the body and I found just the thing. A reciver hitch off a '98 tacoma fits the bill perfect! Got mine in a junk yard for $40 bucks and it's worked out great, also it adds a small amount of protection for the rear bed.
