I was at SEMA in Vegas last week. In the offroad section the new 4 door heep and the FJ were the floor examples that many companies used to show off there stuff. Whether or not the FJ is the new BAD 40/60 will probably be debated for awhile and with the GrayRock incident fresh on CottonLands memories the argument may be mute. But you have to agree they LOOK great.
Pictures were taken with my treo so they are not Toyota Trails material.

Asked alot of people in Vegas, they havent heard of Beanland either, glad it just wasnt me!!!:grinpimp:

Your buddy,

I want in on the next SEMA trip.

Your buddy,

Not a problem, if you never seen it. ITS BIG. I only spent one afternoon and only covered the tire, wheel and off road section. Its probably about 3 football fields and 2 stories and thats just that section.

Those look pretty darn cool. Thanks for sharing, Chris.

Does anyone know why they don't offer the FJ with a removeable top? That's what I'd like to see/have.

I read somewhere that all of the wiring is run through the roof so as to minimize corrosion or elemental compromising of the systems when the truck fords water (void warranty, of course). Sounded like b.s. at the time, but I read or heard it somewhere.

Time will tell whether the FJ sacks up and represents its heritage or gets lumped in with the H2 and H3 and best used for toting around full-figured soccer moms and their brats. I am going to watch this progression closely. I'd like to smell one in diesel, too.

Word.

I have several other cool pics. Not Cruiser related, thought I'd share them. Please forgive me Cruiser Police for this incursion of NON TOYOTA pics.

Ben,

An H3 can't hold a candle to this truck. You better not buy one (H3). You'll never hear the end of it. Buy an FJ. The wife's getting one as soon as I can swing it.

later,

Naw,

There's no way in the world that I'd buy a Hummer, unless it was a demilled HMMWV- I've always wanted one and ragged out quite a few diesel ones when I was a trained killa myself. My point is that there are a plethora of rugged-looking behemoths out there- H2's and H3's, your various GMC chameleons, Jeep Puberty, etc. that we wouldn't take down to the river more than once. I just hope that the kinks get worked out of the FJ and it proves itself long-term like the old ones. It has grown on me a lot. (Although, I just paid off my car and the idea of bumming a ride and letting you guys tear your trucks up instead of mine sounds better and better!)

Chris,

I'd have been tempted to beg/borrow/steal that dubbed-out Bentley and take it to the Bunny Ranch. I dig the bumper-mounted airhorns on that other ride, too. Selling that sh*t with a straight face must be hard at first, until you see the money. :) Several of the kids in our warehouse in Pearl have cars that crawl, tilt, jump, hump and bump. I have to admit that I do like some of the stuff they've done with them. I suppose we all have our "thing."

Cheers, Ben

I'll take this version, but we got to do something about the brush guard on that bumper!! I like the old school white wheels and bezel to match the roof. Warn red is always a good color.

Thanks for posting Chris!
