Hey everyone....I have been on the board for a while but i figured most of you have better things to do than visit the chat section so i thought i would post here to let you guys know you have a new 60 owner in the fold.

I got it for free from a guy needing garage space and it still runs great. The 4wd works(hi and lo), It has some rust as it spent most of its life on a lake in northern NY state so it had moisture off the lake and salt off the road to battle. The frame has a bad rust spot on it and the body has some bad rust but like i said it was free. Interior is in expected shape except for the back seat which is in almost pefect shape.

Ill post some pictures here in a second when i get done mangaging my attachments.

I would like to thank all of you for the help you are sure to give me in the long run.

Nice find! Can't beat a free cruiser. Blue 60's rule! What's the mileage? Looks like you could chop the rear quarters, cut the rockers and weld in some sliders, little more metal work, and you're good to go! Sweet. Where ya located?

The odometer says 190k but the owner said due to larger tires he said it would be around 220k so not too high.

Yeah, but only 220K on the tires, the rest of the rig thinks it's 190K, in terms of rotations of moving parts. Only other difference would be the number of hours.

I still think truck engines should have hour meters like tractors.

very good point but, i guess since the truck has to work a little harder to turn the tires, support the larger tires in turning and all of that, one might need to consider actual miles.

^mentioned it to the wife and didn't get a good response, and since she makes the money(I go to college full time) she has final say were the money goes.

I love this site and it is going to save me at least 20 dollars by itself with all the tech advice and any parts that i buy from fellow members.

woody, don't worry sometime i will buy a star to support your habits ;)
