A chip off the old block?? Well, maybe not exactly . . . .

But 50 years from now, there'll be a bunch of old farts like us trying to track down parts and restoring those old 2007 "classics." :D

Beat me to it Steve! I was going to do that next week. That maroon Toyota looks pretty good, maybe if the FJ was black cherry I'd like it more......

Steve, buy a new one, get all the manuals, options, spares, etc...preserve it intact down to the factory air in the tires, and in 50 years you could have a "TPI" FJ....all the future old farts would appreciate it...

And of course, hide it some place down in South America. ;)

Mike and Gene . . . . better get started on the FJ Cruiser repro data plates and hood emblems.

Eric . . . . somewhere there's an FJ Cruiser screaming out for a V8 swap.

John . . . . make sure you get a truck that can tow an FJC up to your cabin.

Jim . . . . start keeping track of consecutive FJ Cruiser VIN numbers.

And, Phil . . . . back to the hot tub to come up with some more great ideas!!

:D :D :D

did you test drive it yet?
Not the one in the picture above . . . . it was already presold to a waiting customer, so it was "hands-off" other than just sitting behind the wheel. So I made a trek down to a Jacksonville, FL dealership this afternoon for a test spin:

I don't know. I'm going to have to use the time waiting for the prices to get reasonable to completely think about it.

Great pics Steve, but that new FJ doesn't look like much sitting next to that 25.

At least they kept TOYOTA on the grille.

If they really wanted to go retro, it would have three chrome bars, a T-bird and NO bezel. :D

I know my 1962 FJ40 is not a 25 but its very close in alot of ways....

As you know, you'll be dealing with a bunch of "bezel-less freaks" (as FoxFab calls us), but I actually kinda dig that green bezel of yours.

I saw my first today in person. Not overly impressed. It was smurf blue. But I guess for the price, its an ok deal. Too much plastic on it IMHO. Get a diesel, a solid axle, and a removable top and I'll be all over it. :crybaby:

They drive well and the 4.0 V-6 has a good power band....I almost took one out to SoCal to pick up my 62 FJ but between the trailer and the FJ it would have been over the 5000 lb tow limit....but it would cool to do.

Don
