    '91 Blend Door Linkage/Cable???

Thanks for the diagram Unfortunately this only shows the cables and HVAC control panel. I’m needing the opposite end of the cable. I snapped a couple pics. And of course, in this far along before I realize something is missing…oof. Disregard my makeshift machine screw and plastic...

    '91 Blend Door Linkage/Cable???

Alright, I've searched until I'm blue on this one. I have a '91 that the Hot/Cold control never really worked "correct" on. Recently, I replaced the heater core and found the PO had JB Welded the old core as well as zip-tied the heater control cables in random ways to make the "blend door"...

91 fj80 floor panel gets hot

Mine used to get super hot. Here was my findings. Lower steering shaft seal was shot Ebrake shifter boot was cracked After these items were replaced (I fixed the shifter boot with some black silicone) I noticed a significant reduction in heat inside the cab area. I had the cats removed...

    Interco Super Swamper TSL SX2-65?

I ran them in the 35" flavor on my Tacoma. I was able to maintain highway speeds of 75-80 no problem. They did vibrate about 65 (I only used standard weights) but smoothed out about 67. I have run them upwards to triple digit speeds (yes...it takes a while to get there) with no issues. I...

    Interco Super Swamper TSL SX2-65?

FWIW, I've ran about 20 different sets of M/T and A/T tires over the past decade....here are *MY* findings. The 'best' of both worlds tire for me was the Super Swamper SSR. They're radial construction but still the TSL design. They have excellent highway manners **to be an aggressive tire**...

    A little Helicoil help

You really need to use the tool to seat the coil. The coil spreads a touch when the bolt is threaded into it so there's a chance the coil wont seat all the way. Weld/epoxy a piece of stock to the tool to extend it. Better to do it once correctly. Good luck!

    Thought - Water Jacketed intake

Hood scoops were intended to draw outside air into the air box. Hood scoops should be completely sealed from outside-airbox as to not introduce any engine bay air (01-04 Mustang Mach 1's do this very effectively with the "shaker" style hood). Hood vents don't channel outside air in they help...

    Thought - Water Jacketed intake

So you're worried about the housing being too hot? I wouldn't worry much. I've never heard of one failing due to heat soak. :steer:

    Help Identifying Door Window Part?...?

Pursuing your lead I was able to find their technical term to be "Window Blow Out Clips". The indeed function as you had mentioned. They "say" it's possible for the windows to "suck" out at speeds on some classic muscle cars. Interesting. Thanks for the insight!

    Help Identifying Door Window Part?...?

Nice. I then assume later model vehicles have improved the track system so this is no longer needed.

    Thought - Water Jacketed intake

I'd say the tradeoff won't be worth it. I don't believe the air will be hanging around long enough in the air box to benefit from the external cooling of the intake box. If you were trying to squeeze an extra few HP out of a highly modified race vehicle I could see justification of similar...

    Help Identifying Door Window Part?...?

This is more of a 'useless knowledge' question more than anything. On the exterior of the front doors of our 80S, near the forward most corner of the glass, there's a small plastic tab. I'm curious as to what these things are and do they have a purpose (see picture below). I've saw these...

    Chasing intermittent starting issue

Sorry. Yep, I read the post incorrectly. The NSS is bypassed currently in this configuration. I have a TLCA event this weekend but will continue chasing this issue when I return.

    Chasing intermittent starting issue

No, sir. The wire from the ignition switch to the starter solenoid was evidently bad/broken. Just replaced it from the ignition switch down to the starter. NSS is still in loop.

    Chasing intermittent starting issue

UPDATE/FINAL RESOLUTION : I pulled the ignition switch and found the wire that controlled the 12V feed to the solenoid. At the Ignition switch the voltage was 12.8v but at the other end of the wire (end that connects to starter solenoid) it was 11.8v. This measurement was with the wire...

    97 FZJ80 Low / No Oil Pressure

WOW! That's insane. I'm not partial to WIX filters but know plenty of people who are dedicated to running nothing but. I generally use Toyota filters on all of my stuff...when they're available. I'd send an oil sample to blackstone and get it checked out. Just see what you're up...

    Chasing intermittent starting issue

I'm going to try running a wire directly from the key switch to the starter solenoid and see if that works. This will rule out a broken down solenoid activation wire. Based on the information you guys have given I believe this is the most plausible explanation. I will measure the voltage in...

    Chasing intermittent starting issue

Thanks for the reply. I have not given any thought to the PNP sensor. I do have a spare transmission... Are these located on the side of the transmission like the later year trucks? I guess the PNP sensor could cause a voltage drop if its corroded. *note* I can hear the fuel pump, pumping...
