No one is making anything up, it's been done multiple times as retrofit and Toyota literally built it that way on all 105's.
Now whether it is a actual worthwhile upgrade or not is a different discussion
Yes, they are built for either chassis. You’ll have to cut your original frame stands off and weld these on.
Website shows out of stock but I actually do have them, I just need to update the site...
Pretty sure 90% of that crew does their preparation maintenance after their rig is already broken half way down the trail. Or at camp before it even gets unloaded off the trailer.
I posted pics of them installed on Post 4007 on this thread. One fitting is for the firewall, the other goes to the condenser itself. Both charge ports end up next to each other at the compressor. Yes it is a bit tight, but, how often are you recharging your AC on a completely fresh setup? :)
AC hose kits ready to ship! They are $325, or $350 (+Shipping) with optional trinary switch port on the condenser adapter. Includes both hoses and adapters for the firewall, condenser and compressor. 100% bolt-up for Gen 3/4 truck accessory drive.
Will get them up on the site next week, or PM...
1-1/8 is too big for the 80 brakes in my opinion. I would go 1 or 1-1/6.
If your calipers are original they are coming up on 30 years old, so start there.
