Sounds like you killed the vaf or afm. You do not clean these. Best bet at this point is to cut open the top and check connections. You can not buy a new one, your new mission will be to find a good used one.
Keith’s Garage in Grand Junction he is cruiser Toyota mechanic, very busy though.
Metric Offroad Grand junction , Toyota shop as well.
I’m in Grand Junction if I can help
I got mine from dealer they were pretty cheap. Sorry forgot part number.
Pull them all and do the molding you can stilll get that as well from dealer. I did black, and I think white may be available. Black looks good on the red that’s color of one of mine.
I have old nitro 5.29s I bought in 09. Had them set up by slee with crush sleeve and have been great, no issues. Not sure on where they were made back then?
Sounds come from lot places. You really shouldn’t have play at 12 and 6 o’clock. If you do loose wheel bearings, being you say grinding in the title and whaw whaw sound, how are your drive shaft ujoints? I’d be looking at the wheel bearings and drive shaft
Got a rock stuck in the brake shield?
2k for head gasket work since you are paying someone prob little more depending how deep you wanna go
Ls swap by hood shop prob 25k and up
You can prob do head gasket, some new seats, new radio hood struts, paint for less than 25k possibly
You should probably take it to someone who knows land cruisers, if not, you are probably not going to get good results and bunch China put into your engine. Both of my 80s are the original starters, they are rebuildable if you didn’t know.
I would also trace that shady wiring and see where it...
I have always read not to use this wire as it will affect antenna going up. I put in aftermarket radio into three different cruisers bypassing the amp, I have never connected that wire, believe it is blue. All three trucks the power antenna worked off the switch only.
