406 cruiser club is pretty active as well. May be able to find someone local that can help ya
Yeah, but some of us can build it like this at home.. 🤷♂️
I work in manuf/engineering of stuff like this for a living so not out of my wheelhouse.
Still some design stuff to do and try and optimize. The idea of checking sendcutsend is that way anyone with the file could just upload and buy...
I don't have my CAD machine with me unfortunately. I have a 5x5', but my press brake is only a 16" opening. I'm going to see what I can do to make it work with my setup or my 20T press and press dies due to the length of the part. Splitting it into a few vertical sections may also be an option...
Thanks to @CJK for doing the brunt of the work here. I have the file and will start going through it. When I get back to WA I plan to review/make any edits and do a test panel on my plasma table. Will follow up on that later. Currently out of state dealing with some family stuff.
I used it to do a 600+ part order. Super helpful - thanks for putting it together. I was able to build a table on google sheets and input all the prices to then identify the cheapest combination between Serra with 25% off, impex, partsouq and amayama. Mega zip might be a good one to add, though...
as of today I have ordered a new short block, head, and various engine parts. Rebuilding a new 1fz with a cometic mls. Going to figure out an airwater intercooler setup. Also doing tcase gears, shift kit, and all suspension bushings and body mounts. Needs to be on road by the middle of June...
No. I have two leaking and two not leaking. They all have a lot of rough use on them. 1000s of miles of washboard, wheeling, etc. I'm going on a month+, 10,000 mile long wheeling and camping trip through AK this summer so I wanted to have them all rebuilt proactively. They wouldn't do the other...
They rebuild for free if they're leaking. They don't advertise a price for the rebuild.
I bought them direct from ARB when I had a contact at their Auburn, WA office.
I will. The frustrating part is i'm 30 min from their office (where I picked all my stuff up thats on my 80). I'll continue talking to them and see. I may be moving to dobs or something if these are going to be a pain. Sucks cause they're great shocks.
So had a not great experience with ARB on these at this point.
I'm at maybe 40k on my BP51s. They're showing some oil on the shafts and seem to just generally need a rebuild.
I'm planning a trip in July driving from Seattle to Prudhoe and all over Alaska. I reached out to them as a...
I was surprised. It was a pain in the ass to be clear. They were only going to replace the exhaust housing and they forgot to send it for 2 months. Ended up sending the whole turbo instead. Their service rep was a great guy though. Super helpful. But it took calling numerous divisions to find...
Are you confident in that due to the pack you have or because you think it'll stay cool enough? I work with/on HV/LV battery systems of different chemistries and I would generally agree putting one in the engine bay is a no-go.
Not trying to say you're wrong - legitimately curious.
