No. It was all 80 series other than the front fenders/hood/grill/lights. All built out of fiberglass. The customer was deployed in Okinawa and bought it there and had it imported stateside. According to him there was a shop there that did all these conversions. I don't recall the name. I will...
We had a RHD one in the shop this summer; imported from Japan. It had the whole kit they supposedly offer as a service over there, interior, suspension, and all. It seemed to be put together well. It was a mind trip walking up from behind it and then around to the front.
Nightshadow Pearl is my all time favorite. Have had mine for almost 11 years now, but it's a beater. One day, I can dream, the plan is to find one totally stock, triple locked, and keep it fancy and nice.
Here’s some updated pics. I generally use a jigsaw with a fine tooth metal blade to cut cheer metal. Grinders/sawzall/multi tool for hard to reach spots.
I’m also trying to keep things as light as possible, so my interior is stripped and I keep a third row seat in for my son to sit in, but I...
The factory flares had been mostly ripped off at that point, so I just put aluminum HVAC tape over the holes and liner over that. I need to update this as I’ve had to do a lot more trimming and a few other things since then. I’ll get some new pics up today. Still happy with my tire choice.
I’m...
Confirmed I twisted my sector shaft. Plan to call Redneck Ram on Monday and send my box off to get ported and get their hydro assist kit. Further down the big tire rabbit hole we go...
I'd take the 80...but still get a 200 if you can swing both:smokin:.
I DD a little econo box, but would love to have a 200 for those duties eventually. Wife drives a 5.7 Sequoia and I've fallen in love with that motor. I'd take it hands down over a 4.7, if it was an option.
I need to align my front end still. I tweaked the tie rod and the ends are frozen. Been spraying with PB and will continue each night this week, then attempt to move it again Saturday with a bigger pipe wrench.
Been MIA on this thread for a while (life is crazy). Anyway, been doing a ton of work on the Blue Whale lately and got a couple good wheeling trips in and a visit to @beno to cut the sliders off the Raisin. They are all welded up with new legs on my truck and I got to put a few of my own dents...
Idk the backspace, the wheels were on the truck when I bought it. They are 16x8 ProComps. I'm sure I could find the specs if I looked. My suspension is the full Ironman 4 inch super heavy kit they used to sell about 4-5 years ago. I have the Ironman foam cell shocks that come with the kit...
