Help with P0305 diagnosis...wire harness looks good

Yeah, I checked there. It wasn’t touching the metal. I’ll try these things once throttle body is back on: -check for 12v at injector plug, then -swap new spark plug in, then -try different plug wire, then -buy new injector, then -buy new wire harness Cheapest to most $$$.

Where it passes through the firewall? Or near where it plugs into the ecu?

Help with P0305 diagnosis...wire harness looks good

Hey all. ‘97 popped a p0305 code while on Highway with all the usual symptoms...engine vibration, loss of power, etc. I had this happen once before and jiggling the injector connector fixed issue for another 3 yrs. I figured it was the wire harness near the EGR pipe. So today I started...

    Power Steering Hose Blew Up.

I bought one of the $30 aftermarket coolers from autozone and some extra 3/8 hose and just bypassed the old paper clip cooler. I wish I had noticed the 3M paste! I just used some of the thick Lucas power steering leak stop to lube it up. Got it on far enough to put the clamp on. Good enough for...

Fj80 Land Rover cup holder question

I bought a full set earlier this Spring. Hands down--and this is no overstatement--it's the best money I've spent on the truck. It really makes it so much more enjoyable to travel in--especially with kids in the back.

New HAM radio. Best way to get the antenna coax into the cab? From the back.

I just ran mine up the underbody into the grommet under the driver side dash, under the bottom door trim, to under the driver seat where I had my IC-706 installed.

Events/Trails Alaska Road Trip with my new '97 LC

Thanks for the links and comments, y'all. I'm reading them as I have access to wifi--which is one of the first things I have realized is limited. There is no cell service. None. It might just be my provider limiting me to a certain network here. I use Ting who uses Sprint's network. But as a...

Events/Trails Alaska Road Trip with my new '97 LC

We're driving through Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan right now. Heading to Calgary for the night. We hope to be in a place with wifi for awhile so we can upload pics and commentary. So far just a lot of flat windy roads. Yukon, ho...

Events/Trails Alaska Road Trip with my new '97 LC

Home by MtMan posted Jun 8, 2017 at 10:52 PM Ok, I'm dredging this thread up from the dead. All because tomorrow morning we're actually doing it. We're driving to Alaska from Hannibal, MO. 5 years ago we made it as far as glacier national park and the days/nights were getting too cold so we...

    RS3000 remote help

If I remember right the RS3000 system is very particular about which FOBs work with it. I can't remember the sequence of events to program one, but I do remember I wasted a lot of emotional energy on mine before I just bought a new RS3000 unit on eBay. Then it worked. But I was using a Toyota fob.

Need help with front end vibration...

I'm not getting a lot of responses, but I'll keep updating this just to log what I've been doing. Had a mechanic check out the 3rd member and he said it is fine. So I'll be putting that back in after I change the pinion seal. Checked wheel bearings and they were a little gritty. So I have a...

Is there any way to replace PHH without removing DS tire?

ME TOO!! But what has to be done has to be done. IIRC, I just had my head and upper body in the wheel well and didn't have to get under the truck completely. The reach is awkward to say the least. But then there's oil changes, u-joints, o2 sensors, diff fluid changes, Tcase fluid...

Need help with front end vibration...

All axels are out, 3rd member is out...everything LOOKS ok. What's the logical thing to do? Buy a rebuild kit for diff? I rebuilt the knuckles 50k ago. The knuckle bearings seem good.

Need help with front end vibration...

Yeah, I'm taking the PS axle off now. I'll be ordering a rebuild kit tomorrow. Might as well do the knuckles again while I'm here. This needs to be quick. Leaving for CO in 13 days. *very loud and prolonged sigh*

Thanks for replies. U-joints in. No difference. Pinion has no play. Start pulling axles and checking? What's next on list to check??

Need help with front end vibration...

Towed a camper a month ago. Small vibration developed the next day. Got worse everyday. There is a noticeable whir and vibration at all speed. Disconnected front driveshaft and noise went away. Right now I'm replacing the front u-joints. But they didn't feel bad when I removed the drive shaft...
