I have had the Harrop/Eatons in my 80 since 2018 or so. It was full bodied until 2020. Since then I have converted it to a buggy. I have never ever had them unlock when I change directions. They lock and stay lock. I am running 40" Stickies.
I run the Harrop's and have never had any issues. I was on 33's for a long time with them. Now on 40's, they just work. They lock quick and unlock quick.
You could go Full Hydro. I did that on my buggy that is based on an 80. I used a kit from trail gear, 2.7L 3.4L Tacoma Full Hydraulic Steering Kit - https://trail-gear.com/steering/hydraulic-steering/2-7l-3-4l-tacoma-full-hydraulic-steering-kit.html. I removed the stock PS pump, made a block...

They do answer the phone, the owner is pretty busy these days but Leigh is usually in the office by 8:30 am. She does leave early some days for class. If you can't reach them, PM me your contact information and details on your truck and what you are looking for. I will send it directly to the...
Call Ironpig in Fredericksburg, Lance set me up with Procar Scat seat for my 80, they came with mounting brackets. The downside is they are manual. Very comfortable and I think they were reasonable.
