Sorry, I am not going to go pester the man except for somebody who has a real interest in buying it. All of those questions can easily be answered by directly contacting the seller.
The only reason I even offered to go is, he is maybe five minutes away.

This just popped up on Craigslist. The seller is just 1 mile from my home, if anybody a potential buyer wants me to go scope it out. The owner may be a member here, I dunno. If so I apologize if this is a repost. I know Series 80s pretty well and currently drive a 200. This is a 1 owner truck...
Why would the problem be in back? I have a trailer light converter plus a standard round rv type connector, but no other mods. It has been working flawlessly for years. I could disconnect it easily, but I am not sure why the problem would be back there....
I'm trying to visualize how the stay...
Hi, I have an odd electrical issue with my 96 Lx450. When the parking lights are ON and the turn signal is operating, either left or right, the safety solenoid clunks on and off in time with the signal..... I can actually pull the shifter into Reverse if I time it right, with my foot off the...
When I worked on aircraft i became anal about "flagging" an incomplete job, meaning one that I walked away from for more than a few minutes.. In your case, I would never have loosened that filler cap in the first place, but if I had, I would flag it by putting a shop rag or other obvious item...
There is no way I can recommend an EMS Powered exhaust, or anything from them. Their Facebook page has vanished, I've been waiting 4+ months for a replacement Y-pipe due to a failed flex coupling, they won't respond to my emails or calls, and they get nothing but bad reviews in just about any...
You need to install a functioning thermostat - that is not natural behavior nor is it at all good for the engine.
You call 40 degrees cold?
Since you appear to have gotten all the old stuff out, what was left was nearly pure water. I suggest you top off as needed with concentrated coolant and...
It's been a decade since I last pulled mine, but I recall using a realllllly long set of extensions and a breaker bar, from the back (lying under the truck).
If there is an easier way, I don't know it.

I think lightweight Z cables make sense for your needs, but OTH if you buy two sets of real heavy duty link chains, your truck will be unstoppable. They are a lot better when the snow gets really deep, and they can save your butt if you make a trip to the mountains and get dumped on, or...
I think it's foolish to never get them serviced. I suggest 150K mile intervals at most. It is not a bad job and a local shop won't charge much.
An injector with poor pattern or a restriction will not just cause that cylinder to run poorly. If one runs lean, the O2 sensor will tell the others...
I just want to add that replacing that gasket is probably one of the easiest jobs you could do on an 80. Drain the radiator into a clean bucket until the level is lower than that leaking joint (look into the radiator with a flashlight). Remove two nuts and the support clamp at the valve cover...
Did you notice any airflow issues as they got dirty?
I like the idea of a cabin air filter, but not if the blower motor is going to get too stressed as the element clogs.

In my experience, really thorough cleaning before attempting any leather treatment will make the seats look wonderful. Especially the lighter colors like gray or beige.
Vacuum first, especially the seams and joint between the bottom and back.
I use Griot's Interior Cleaner with a new...
That is a great price, but not great enough to buy a set just to put on the shelf. My cost for two, with shipping, was US$79.42.
Ebay has these for $103 shipped...
LOL:
If you drive really steep grades on secondary roads with a trailer in tow, you will use low range a lot! I often encountered grades so steep that the truck is much happier with extra low gearing.
I just wish it was shift on the fly, since you are forced to stop at the top of the grade...
Loud, but the engine runs so much better I can tolerate it.
The pipe is not flattened where it passes over the rear frame cross-member.

It's still restrictive due to the crappy bends and flattened area, but since the rest of your system is mostly stock, upgrading the back section will accomplish nothing. This is my old '96 system:

Are you looking for a tailpipe or a cat-back system?
If you are looking for a piece that will bolt to the OEM muffler .... I think you will have to find a local shop that can fabricate one. There are complete stainless aftermarket systems (Borla, EMS Powered), full system and cat back, but they...
