Oh nice, I have those same seats that I want to swap into mine. How do you like them? I have jeep wj seats rn. Originally I grabbed a p-brake setup from a 2nd gen 4runner. The pull and turn one in the lower dash. Was going to adapt that, but the factory one cleared even if it's a little...
You have a working parking brake??? I have the 10"(pics toward the beginning) . It's pretty tight to the brake, but it's usable. I'm also running different seats so that may have helped. I'm glad I did it because it makes an excellent arm rest being that much closer
Interesting. Myself and 2 other 80s were having problems with this over the weekend. It was hot, my ac was kicking out and my brakes went to s***. 4 low was pushing through them so bad I had to shift to neutral a few times. I'm sure a fluid change is in order, going to delete the abs and do that...
Awesome, glad to see this rig in good hands. When I saw it for sale I questioned everything I bought in the last 2-3 years that prevented me from buying it, such an awesome rig!
I forgot how nice the ac in my 80 was until it leaked out and I drove it 4hrs in 90+ degree heat. It's absolutely miserable driving down the interstate with the windows down. The noise was worse than the heat. I put a full can into the next morning and it worked great. Now to find the leak.
Unless they redesigned them it's way less than 6", probably closer to 3-4". They're maybe an inch from touching the strips on the roof and then it's just the height of the cross bars
Good deal, definitely not too bad to do. I ordered a fender from a junkyard last year and asked if it came with the inner fender. He said yes. Then I got just the outer shipped to me. I went round and round with him as he insisted the inner was welded to the body structure. NO IT ISN'T! That...
I knew this going in, but when someone says something like this is in stock, I'm not hesitating on pulling the trigger. It's usually just an error like this (it happens a lot) so it doesn't hurt to try unless it's a shady website.
I just parted out a 94 a few weeks ago. I bought it partially parted out and finished it. I literally took everything out, sold the frame, and scrapped the body after cutting some of it out. Seat belts, domelights, grab handles, wire harnesses, wiper motor. It all has value imo.
No, I'm trying to remember if any of the bolts are tough to get to without separating, but I don't believe so. The worst part is probably unbolting everything from the inner fender, especially the DS.
Pretty sure they have a seam sealer basically bonding them together (not like welded, just an annoying glue) so it's probably easier to do the whole thing. Also, the wheel well bolts (the small ones that bolt the inner to the outer) are a pain. They either break, or the nutserts break, or both...
