I recently moved from an 80 to a 100... something I never thought I would do. I just found myself driving the 100 almost all of the time. It was sad to sell the 80, but it was more sad to see such a great truck just sitting. I would recommend you build whichever one you a drawn towards unless...
Zack,
He is a Large Munsterlander. As far as I know they are a black and white variant of the German longhair pointer. Since he's only 6 months old this will be his first season hunting birds. So far I have been very please with him.

Just got back from Park Lake. It was insane with grayling but I only manage to get a picture of one small one (still haven't figured out how to paddle, fly fish, and photograph at the same time). There were a bunch of small greedy cutthroat too!

Well it isn't the weekend, but I took mine fishing today. One thing I like about this time of year is having enough snow on the ground to put the fish on ice before heading home. Not that it really matters, the trip is 10 minutes from the house on a busy day:meh:
Thanks everyone. Plenty of food for thought. I didn't realize the Aussie radios were different. That has me contemplating a rear hatch mount as they seem to be the ones I see doing the bumper mount.
I have a cuisinoffroad bumper (similar to ARB). Have no intention of long range communication. It is for trail use with folks in my group. Thanks for the feedback.
I posted this in the 80 section to allow for more 80 specific tech. YES I know I should buy a HAM:deadhorse:.
Yes I know the bumper isn't an ideal location, but for my plans I think it will be the most convenient location. So I know a few of you are set up this way... any issues? Oh and...
Richie,
Thank you for the write-up on Death Valley. It looks like you had an excellent trip... until the crash. Glad to here everyone is okay. So considering your experience would you buy another 80? Also if you did would you do anything different with the build?

My Rear heater never stopped working and in temps above 30 my truck warmed up like normal. I think it was just allowing enough coolant past to make my front heater ineffective. Once I put an o-ring in there things worked as they should.
I had a similar issue a few years back. My problem was that the shop I took it to didn't install the o-ring that goes with the thermostat. :meh:

Happened to me a couple of years ago. Check your door latches. In my case my drivers door latch was just loose enough to allow the light to come on in turns.

Sadly nothing too cool. I was out of town for work and slipped playing ULTIMATE (an important distinction) frisbee. That happened on Wednesday. The local clinic gave me an Ace bandage and a ice pack:rolleyes: Flew home yesterday and went in for x-rays. I like airports even less with a...
