Thank you for the specifics, sincerely appreciate it and everyone else’s help as well.
The two links that have been shared here are pretty much exactly what I’m looking for (tire size).
Being one of the earlier LS400s, my 1992 oem tire size is 205 65 15.
Here is what I was thinking of doing...
Hahaha that is my goal!
I know this build is crazy (albeit not the first to do it/also alot of Crown Vic people have done this) but I am determined and will hopefully be able to get this done soon if cost is cheap.
Eaton spring company apparently custom makes springs to your liking but that is...
Hello LC Community,
A few months back I sold my 1992 FJ80 and purchased a different 1992 Toyota product, an LS400.
I do have plans of purchasing another Cruiser in the future but in the meantime (And please don't shoot me) I'd like to have some fun with my LS and lift it to fit 28-30 in offroad...
Nothing crazy but finally got my 350k mile 3FE to pass smog yesterday here in SoCal!!!
I found a shop that was able to "work with me" for only 20 bucks more than the "standard" smog check and all the paperwork is legit, couldn't be happier. I may even wind up de smoging the old truck now that I...
Thanks for the reply.
To answer your question:
1. The PO gave me a smog test print out from around 2 years ago showing the emissions readings and it did not pass at the time (can't remember each reading's measurements or by how far off it failed)
2. There are a decent amount of fumes from the...
Hey Everyone,
First off I have put my flame suit on and am prepared for any negative comments due to this thread.
I have been helped out big time by the members of this forum and I commute in my 80 every day thanks to you folks.
Long story short, I have a 1991 FJ80 3FE with 335k miles on her...
Looks very interesting and beyond cool.
Prices seem to be around 400 a wheel which for what you get doesn't seem all that bad.
I checked out their website and it doesn't look like they support the 80 series but perhaps another member could suggest a size that would work with modification...
Can't comment personal ownership experience with a 93-97 80 series but my '91 3FE powered 80 is a daily commuter even with my slim 22 year old budget. 30 miles round trip a day 5 days a week in rush hour traffic (8AM and 5PM) on the 405.
Oh, and my tank has 335,000 miles on her all I've done...
Sorry to hear this happened.
I'm sure others far more knowledgeable than myself can address where the water is coming in from but I do fancy myself a above average automotive detailed.
I see you are located in Tanzania so not sure if they will have this product in your country (no offense)...
Hello Everyone,
First and foremost I want to thank everyone on this forum for adding to the wonderful experience I've had owning my 1991 Land Cruiser. Your knowledge and support has helped me keep my old beast running strong.
Sadly however, I will be selling my 1991 Land Cruiser asap for...
Thank you for the info I sincerely appreciate it.
My 91 has 33in tires which are shot and offbeat rims so this would probably make my year if this works out.
The seller seems to be alittle difficult and am awaiting a response back but thanks again and if this works out and they dont come with...
Hello Everyone,
I have a 1991 FJ80 and was wondering if one of you kind souls could tell me if the wheels in the attached link will fit my 1991 80 series.
Currently my truck has 33in tires 15in wheels and a 2.5inch lift so clearance wont be a problem but I just want to make sure the wheels I'm...
Thanks for all the replies everyone, once again I was able to do my own repairs and get the job done myself (Of course with the help of you great folks).
There was a larger missing vacuum line going from the VCV to the intake. Got the hose on there and the idle doesn't stumble to 100 rpm and...
Thansk again for all of your help. When I was replacing my oil filter hose # 90445-12262 (VCV) looks to be like the hose that was completely loose in the engine bay. I was foolish and threw it out but 90% sure that 90445-12262 is the hose that is no longer on the VCV not sure about the other...
Great thank you for that I appreciate it.
I will check all the vacuum lines soon but it looks like the little black unit infront of the charcoal canister on this diagram is the little unit to the right of 23275. Im missing atleast 2 vacuum lines off that little unit, does anyone know what that...
Hello Everyone,
So I have been experiencing alittle trouble with my 1991 FJ80 (333,000 miles).
Thus Far I've replaced/done:
New dizzy cap and seal
New Rotor
New Spark Plug Wires
New Plugs
New Battery
Oil Change and Filter
New Fusible Links
So the issue I'm having is very jumpy RPMS to the...
Interesting Find.
I'm in SoCal and found my 80 on CL locally for 1,500.
Mine is the same color (both exterior and interior) but mine has about 100,000 miles more and I have to get her ready to pass smog.
Would be interesting to see if this one had the roof rack and 3rd row removed from an owner...
Hey Everyone!
Just checking in with the coolest guys and gals ever...3FE Owners!
Here is my quick story:
Always been a "car guy" and have owned a few old school American Land Yachts and a few older mercedes and to be honest never considered a Japanese car. I started reading more and more...
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
I went over this morning to work on my favorite vehicle ever, my 1991 FJ80 (1,500 bucks and 333,000k miles) and installed the fusible links and the new junction box.Turned the key on and BAM Check Engine Light was light up :)
I had also replaced the plugs, wires, cap...
