Just in case anybody was following, we got it done (using an angle grinder, cutoff wheels, and stepped bits to punch the holes). Pretty tired and sore, but it's done.
A nice long drive in traffic helped clear my head. I can use my grinder, a batch of cutoff wheels, and a stright edge to do this job. Still open for offers of help, just not as desperate this time.
