So after checking the turn signal switch continuity I noticed terminal wires 2 & 7 never connected when activating a left or right turn movement. I removed the turn signal/hazard switch assembly and traced wires 2 & 7 to a PCB that the hazard rocker is connected to. After removing a metal cover...
Before Christmas I was driving home from work on the highway when I noticed a deer running in front of me. I turned on my hazard lights to warn other vehicles around me. After that my turn signals did not work. I replaced the turn signal flasher, removed & cleaned the turn signal assembly...
My 87' BJ70 sits a lot since I only use it in the fall months. Recently I noticed some diesel leakage underneath the truck. The top of the IP looks dry but from underneath the truck I can see that there is a plate on the side of the IP that is covered. From what I've read on previous threads...
I just removed the starter from my BJ70 (Ugghhh) after troubleshooting a clicking noise. Both solenoid contacts were replaced, the battery side contact which was totally eroded just happens to be used on Dodge Cummins trucks, so easily obtained.
Once installed the starter turned over the engine...
Seem to have a seized rear brake adjuster on the 70'. Might as well replace both sides.
Anyone know where I can pick these up at a reasonable cost within N.America?

The Toyota dealer want $71.60 per side :-(
thanks.
Not all shops will work on RHD vehicles and it's good to know shops in your area you can go to knowing their quality of work, i don't see what's wrong with that.
When I looked up the replacement part numbers for my RHD 70' they gave the following:
RH wiper blade, RHD, 85220-12570
LH wiper blade, RHD, 85220-22470
Have these part numbers been replaced with the numbers above?
Looks like I need to check if there's anything bent first and then remove the box and inspect. I'll look into the contacts mentioned but I'm in Canada and shipping costs may factor in. I've heard the pitman arm removal is tough, better start lubricating it now.
Just had a OME lift put into my RHD BJ70, now it's time to correct the alignment and any steering issues. The steering box is adjusted as far clockwise as I feel safe and there is still a lot of play in the steering wheel. The steering linkage underneath appears stiff and the steering box has no...
Looking for a rear window (spare tire side) for my 87' JDM BJ70 after an encounter with a fallen tree. Would prefer to find a used piece of glass in good condition with the defrost lines attached. Does anyone know of a source for new or used glass?
Well I was able to remove the steering wheel by removing the nut and giving it a good pull. Once the steering wheel was removed it was easy to remove and inspect the turn signal & hazard switch assembly. Turns out I don't have to replace the assembly after all, cleaned and aligned the switch and...
That is the same diagram I have as well. It certainly looks like the 84110 sw assy is removable from the plastic body surrounding the steering shaft, I just don't see how it comes off. I'm sure someone has replaced one of these and can shed some light on the procedure.
