In my quest for a bed/box for my 95 Hilux LN107 double cab, I've found these in Australia. Seem to be for a 70 series LC but seller claims they will fit. rear tails lights totally different, fuel door would have to be covered, but length seems to be right. May be a touch wider, I'm getting...
1989 BJ70 with PTO winch. Dont like the look and price of oem. Anyone have any luck with aftermarket covers? Currently don't have one at all so I can't have a copy sewn.
You were right. Swapped for an oem thermostate, and then did a super flush, and now I have a temp gauge that works and super hot air in the cabin. Didn't get the rubber o-ring gasket, just the housing gasket, so there is some wiggle room in there around perimeter of thermostat. Not sure if its...

I was having some engine work done by my local mechanic and it looks like he replaced the bad thermostat with a napa part without telling me. Would this part work or should I get a 3b specific one from cruiser outfitters?

During a coolant flush, both sensors and a bad thermostat was replaced. The gauge does move now but during normal like driving to work, outside temps in the 60-70s, less than 10 miles, it only goes up a few mm above low. During a long road trip, fully loaded with 3 people and gear, for 3 hours...
Stock 3b engine in a 1989 BJ70 nonturbo. Engine runs great, been driving regularly for past two weeks.
Water temperature gauge stays at bottom at all times. Whats a good place to start - the sending unit?
Thanks
Ok thanks. I'll check these places out. It runs well so I'm going to just start with basic services at my local shop. I was able to get usual filters from cruiserparts.
Anyone have a recommendation for a service shop near the Baltimore region that is familiar with BJ70s? 3B engine. I found an old private Land Rover shop that seems interested but has limited experience. Thanks.
Can the front part of the porch bumper be used without the platform part of the porch? If used with the standard bumper mounting brackets? Of course winch would be removed.
Thats awesome! I would be doing the exact same thing if I lived there. I briefly entertained the idea of importing a BJ70 that I saw in Pakistan. They call it a LC RKR. Its RHD so I thought it would make more sense to simply purchase an already imported JDM model.
Good idea on the porch...
