Is the 1989 BJ-74 Transfer case Front shaft seal part# 90311-48022 or 90311-48010 ?

Yes that's the part I need. Mine has broken between the flex section and the lower flange.
With that part number my local Toyota dealer can order it. Thanks for your help.
If you disconnect the preheat temperature sensor on the thermostat housing [the one with two wires] the preheat should activate every time the engine is started. This is the easiest way to troubleshoot the preheat or get to to activate.
The rear door hinges on mine are stiff from road salt corrosion I suppose. Penetrating oil hasn't done much good applied on the crack between the hinge plates. I'm thinking of drilling a small hole in the center pivoting section so the penetrating oil can get to the pin. Perhaps someone else...
I replaced the stock muffler with the glass pack leaving the stock exhaust system in place.
The noise level didn't increase much at all, it's not at all objectionable, and actually sounds a lot better IMHO.
