Saw a post back a page or so talking about your old soft top vs best top, do you have any pics comparing the size? I have a best top but don't like the profile it gives my 40. Would like something lower, do you still have that old one? @White Stripe
Tried to make it clear, no there was no previous tcase anomaly. So I propose to people with more landcruiser knowledge than me, what is it that I may or may not have done to cause this issue?
Laying under the truck, there is slight play there. But there is gobs of play in the tcase. Could I have knocked something out of adjustment when I had it on the bench or is it just screwed and needs new gears?!?!?
So I had my transfer case and trans out to do clutch and rear main (sbc and sm465) (fj40 tcase). Any way I replaced a seal on my tcase, trans, did my clutch. All new fluids and now I have a lot of drive line slack that I believe to be coming from the tcase. When it's shifted to 4wheel it's great...

she says she is pretty sure the part numbers are : 09-054-9 and 20711 360 on the ones the still have the boot. Ive searched the google machine and some parts websites with no luck. Any one?

Tried the search with no answers the made me feel super warm and fuzzy, I've got a 72 FJ40 with 60 disc conversion and saginaw power steering. It's all set up and works great as is, I just want to replace my TRE's to eliminate some play in the steering.
So is there a standard TRE set up that...
