    The bottom of the split is about equal with the fill plug. It had plenty if earl in it

    so Poser. since a semi float is for the rear does that mean i need to replace the ARB or can i put the retaining bolt back in {if thats the problem} and kept going??

    i locked the front end in today and the ring gear hit the cover and split it open. I heard a pop and when i looked it has about a 4 inch tear in it. i cant find anything loose and the insides appear to be ok looking thru the split.WHAT HAPPENED?????? it still runs and the ARB still works fine??

    Yeah cut the drill bit making it shorter that way the drill is closer to the block giving it more room to the firewall

    Use the stock set up just change the carb end with a set screw and the little round piece. They sell them at the parts store

    The sending unit works off ohms and so does the gauge and they need to both be the same ohms to work right. Autometer makes a fuel guage thats universal. You might need to replace with that one Did it work right before???

    they all will settle after awhile. i would just put a 4 inch and be done. if it settles your still ok and you can have more tire size options.

    if they are rebuilt and from the same rebuilder maybe thats the problem. rebuilders will also have batches of rebuilt parts go bad before they notice. try a different brand. they could be using faulty bushings. V style pumps have been around for a long time and i am sure thats not the problem...
