Then work the springs, flex'm and break'm in!! Otherwise your talkin' new (softer rate) spring pack$$$$
And toss the Pro-Chump shocks! Holy moly! Get some 5100 Billies .. or 5125's or whatever they are now. I swapped out the prochumps for some billies on my mini...
The reason I used spacers on my mini was to match up the track width to the rear (wider later model rear which is 3" wider... hence the 1.5" spacers in front) But I believe my wheels would fit without the spacers.
Do some measuring is all I can think of and try to find a compatable wheel.
Is that a mini-truck brake conversion or stock FJ? Here is a pic of my 85 truck with LC rotors, "V6" calipers and 1.5" spacers. This is a typcial brake upgrade for a mini...
And here is a pic of the leftovers that went on the 40.. .SFA disc/mini conver :D
Awesome work.
Question: How'd you get the lower lip on the outer skin at the bottom... especially around the curved areas?? ... and yeah, I'm replacing that section too. ;)
Had the same feeling when I did my mini-truck rear disc and front upgrade conversion. Seemed a little weak at first. Over time they got better and better. I assume the pads and rotors wore in and found their sweet spot. Maybe it's just perception tho... IDK.
Can't say that for the kid's 40...
Here are a few links to the items in the Summit catalog. I couldn't find the exact fitting I used in the mount but the one at the bottom is close, minus the AN male end. It's a clean, secure way of mounting the hard line to the flex line.... if you decide to go aftermarket hardware etc... Hope...
Had some old mini parts laying around. Welded a tab to this TEE...
Works like a champ
You can buy these cool mounts/clips/fittings from Summit pretty durn cheap. Used existing threaded hole locations from the previous single circuit mounting holes. Works well so far.
I have a 32/36 on a mini truck with no issues (maybe I haven't been on a steep enough incline yet)
See this link below. If I ever get to the point of needing more angle of the dangle I'll do this little mod. Note the guy mentions float adjustment first.

Good progress I see!!
IDK about that small weldment. Looks like it's purpose in life is to keep the U bolts perpendicular to the axle tube since it's close to the diff radius in the housing. ???? maybe someone will chime in....
