I have the front and rear kits. I guess I will have to so how it goes. I don't plan too much on off roading her (strong arm steering would be a PITA). Thanks

    MAF u bolt flip queston

Sorry Mark, Not much of an Update on this 40. I think I picked to many things to fix at once (new harness, axle rebuild, lift, body panels, etc...) I just got burnt out last year. Then of course work kicked in when Spring came around. Anyways, should the shock be mounted to the pin on the...

    MAF u bolt flip queston

I didn't know this thread was brought back to life. I guess since I bought my 80 this year, the 40 build has taken the back shelf. All the shock mounts are stock, so I don't have a higher one. I need to get back in the garage soon and work on the 40.

    MAF u bolt flip queston

Much easier now. I think this looks better and it all went in easily. Now Blue has thinking about using the shock pin on the axle. I can see where it will keep it out of the way better, but it will look like a tight fit (post #10). Does the later axle have more space? Mine is a '71. Rudy

    MAF u bolt flip queston

Now I know what not to do! I guess my logical idea was to put the ubolts on like normal. After looking at the pictures and talking to Steve from MAF I can see what I did wrong. Kinda feel like a dumbass now. When I get off work I need get back in the garage and switch the plates. Thanks for...

I don't know if I would call it big bucks but they are closed over the weekend and I was looking for some info to see if anyone knew about these springs because they don't come with instructions and I want to get something done this weekend. 2nd Opinion for alxle rebuild

I have three of those Marlin seals here. Heard great response for them (Plus they really great for shipping things out). After reading '73Guppie's thread and the one by morgan, I was not sure if would be a big problem. Thanks for the advice guys.

    2nd Opinion for alxle rebuild

I am rebuilding a '76 axle for my 40 off a pig. My neighbor a mechanic of 30 plus years told me this groove in the Knuckle would leak. Should I keep going with this second guess? I just don't want to put it back together and have problems in the near future. I bought a rebuild kit from CCOT...

    Best method for redoing wiring

I am to wiring with Painless 90 Weight: you do have some good advice to label eveything and shrink wrap. I put everything in about five years ago, but lost the intersest and now have it back again. Took the harness out out laid it out in my living room and drew a diagram. I have put it back...

    2" or 4" lift

Looked at those, is the money worth it? I still have other stuff to fix on the FJ. Found one site who said the Skyjackers is worth the money. I still plan on taking out the front axle from a '76 FJ55 I have for the disc brake. The rest, not sure anybody need parts?
