    distributor is one thing but are you running a coil? Or something like fireball points conversion? If your running a coil there should be some white heat resisters present . They'll keep your points from getting fried!

    Well, you might tell us a little more about the ignition you are running. If you have the ignition from the '70s you need a ballast resistor or you will continue to burn up points or coils.

    I really don't think the Hatch looks all that great. The Ambulance doors allow quick access without having to push the spare tire aside and aesthetically look the best. The hatch looks exactly like the Jeep.

    It's much easier to sell if you don't refer to it as a "FJ" I have a VW myself and you're going to be a busy guy lol I love VW's too and it's a disease. When you get older you'll upgrade to a FJ40. They do suck up a lot of money. Till then, enjoy the VW. Post pics!

    I also have a license frame plate that reads "my other car is a Land Cruiser" which keeps the Buena Park Hillbillies (Orange County suburb where every other house owns an RV) from tailgating me!

    I own 2 Prius models, ... A Prius and a Prius C. My Cruiser ( nickname "The Anti-Prius) uses a tank a month. I smile driving the Prius's but I grin and laugh driving my Cruiser!

    Whats your gas mileage ?

    I don't really know to be honest. The best I've ever got was 220 miles on my tank. That number said, my odometer records 8/10 of a mile for every real mile traveled. When I had my stock motor the average tank was around 140 miles. Fuel injection rocks!
