While on my pursuit of upgrading my wheels and tires on my 40, I found a good website to select different wheels to see what they look like. Not affiliated at all. Pretty nice looking Land Cruiser they use.
Funny you can't select earlier years than 82, but, the picture they use is an early...
If you don't have a newer style haz switch, I do.
For a idea of how picky the electrical system is on the FJ40's, I put the wrong 12v bulb in my turn indicator, the whole left side turns stopped working.
Just saw this thread.
You found the right guy with Coolerman! I will be willing to help also.
Quinn told me you didn't need your hazards wired. I figured you were ready to get it back. I told him it's a fresh build, he's gonna need hazards. LOL
You have two welded bolts on the bottom of your radiator support. They go into these holes circled in red. Then one diagonal rod is longer than the other. They mount to the threaded holes this side of the shock towers.
The way it works is you are completing the circuit at the steering wheel buttons. The spark proves you have 12V and your steering wheel is grounded.
I would guess you have the wrong relay or it is wired wrong.
If it is fried, you will smell it. Burnt plastic, mine left a burn hole in middle of the paper label in your picture.
I would leave the key on, or it would die when warming up. So I ended up switching to the Ingnitor II.
That's not your old truck, yours is that drivable one on CL.
Keep telling yourself that as you walk away from that mess.
If you get a blue one, you can use the same picture.
I'm so glad I found this thread! I had rears locking up also. Removed, cleaned the stock LSPV, no more rear skids. Thanks!
Note: indicators of corrosion, I had dark colored fluid in my rear reservoir.
