Yes sir, thats the one. Someone from your shop already responded and thank you.
Not sure what Cruiser Corps is trying to pawn off, but it screwed me and my buddy who also bought one. Getting required parts to Costa Rica is not an easy thing and now I'm out that cash.
Though I appreciate the comment, the arm is 38 and the shaft is 46. Also, it's really hard to receive mail in Costa Rica without paying triple the price for the parts in question.
Thank you though.
Sadly, it was SMOKED and now is taking space in a landfill. That was my original thought. As for steel hardness, the shaft is softer than the arm.
One option I thought, failing everything, is the mill the shaft and get a keyway drifted into both the arm and shaft but seeing that's not the...
Hey,
Writing this to see if anyone has run into this issue and what the solution is. I am currently working on the steering cause it seems to work better when the ball joints aren't all friction welded after 42 years. Anyways, I purchased a center pin rebuild kit from Cruiser Corps. The...
Back at it again. The one thing I love about my pig is that it never stops surprising me. Its like the Black Knight in Monte Python insisting "tis but a scratch" when in reality he is bleeding out. That's my pig, things don't make any sense yet it still runs "just fine".
So it has always...
Well I suck at responding.
So, I passed the damn RTV (inspection) and have been driving the pig like it owes me money. The front was acting up this time but the rear numbers matched one another. To that end, thank you all for the suggestions. As it stands, the fix for this whole mess was...
In CR they use a type of dyno. The vehicle rolls into a cradle so the vehicle can be left in neutral while running. The cradle is run up to say 30km/h and the brakes are applied. The feed back from the wheels stopping is then registered to see the stopping power. There is a threshold for the...
G'Day,
Sorry if this has been posted before and sorry for the long winded story to come. I am having an issue with my left rear brake. As you can see from the subject, its a 79 BJ and for those who dont live in Costa Rica, RTV or Retieve is the annual vehicle corruption...err, inspection.
So...
Well I went back the glow plugs, which helped start it, thankfully, as I miss driving it. Still white smoke on start up. Oil doesnt seem milky so I'm not leaning towards the head gasket but I'm not opposed to retorquing. That said, I'm drawn to the fuel lines. Thoughts?
Howdy,
First things first, I have gone through many a forum to find my answer and I'm still coming up short, so before some chimes in to search the threads, been there.
In all honesty, I'm hoping "lostmarbles" will jump in to help out.
That said, I'm an expat in CR with a 79 BJ40 with a B...
