as long as your tubes are bigger than your carb opening you should have not issues on cfms.
i plan on making one for my baja bug.
i've been recently starting and driving my 40 around the block since i got my p/s done.
but it sparks thru the lens sometimes when i start it.

ok, after not taking any time on my 40 since making tube fenders (that are not quite done yet)
i cut down my rear shackles and did a final weld up on the rear hangers.
took a good 2-3 hours of tacking and cutting to get the angle set up.

I was thinking the same thing about the cam and the pre-lube on the cam.
personally, (and maybe someone thinks different) i might think about pulling everything apart and reassembling it.

i have the RV cam
and built my motor like you have listed.
can't tell you if it will pass or not. mines a 69' w/78 2f so i only had to pass it once, then get collector plate and never worry about it again.
i say do it. it's a great running cam.
