    Official For Sale/Trade/WTB/Free Thread

Does anyone have a set of crossbars that would work on the FJ60/62 roof rails? Don’t need a crazy capacity (just enough for a roof box and a few surfboards). Would love a lead on anything local if you’ve got it.

LOCAL Resources for Service, Parts, Tools, Supplies, Services Etc.

Hey Ryan, the truck has been converted to R134a. I ended up passing on the cans at the local parts store because they all had sealers. I'll give you a call in the morning to chat. Thanks!

Thanks for the recommendations! I'll have to try and find the time to drive down there on a weekday. I may just try to recharge it with one of those cheap bottle from the LPS in the meantime.

LOCAL Resources for Service, Parts, Tools, Supplies, Services Etc.

I'm looking for a shop in the northern VA area to diagnose an A/C issues I've been having with my 88 FJ62. It blows cool-ish and the compressor and fan clutch seem to be engaging with the idle up functioning as it should. I'm hoping it just needs a recharge. It blew ice cold when I bought it in...

    New to the DC Area

It is a 2000 with a 5 speed. Much improved over the 1600 4 speed IMO. I kind of fell into it last year and I love it. I'm also lucky I didn't fall through the floors. It came with great JDM factory weight reduction.

Sounds like fun! The last tech day I did in NC we tackled my birfield rebuild and it was a blast. I'd love to help out and meet you all as well.

    New to the DC Area

Sounds like I've made it to the right place then! This is my first real experience with automotive electrical systems but I am eager to learn.

    New to the DC Area

The mechanicals of this truck are stone cold reliable (one of the reasons I wanted a Land Cruiser). Unfortunately I've had to chase some electrical gremlins around the truck. It all started (or didn't rather) with a 'faulty' starter that was actually a consequence of a bad 80's UNGO alarm system...

    New to the DC Area

Hi All, My name is Matthew and I recently moved to the DC area after graduating from Virginia Tech. I'm hoping to join some of the event here and explore the area. I daily drive my 1988 FJ62 (when it works) and I'm coming from the Olde North State Cruiser territory in NC. I'll be here at least...

    Cars and coffee 2017

I stopped by on Saturday despite the rain. The event was pretty poorly attended but still a good time. I arrived at 6:30 and the first parking lot never filled up. I parked next to a Jeep Scrambler and there was also a Range Rover classic there.
