Gorges State Park/ Chestnut Mtn Road

It seems so pointless to have a gate on a road that can be accessed to both sides. It’s not as if through traffic would be a problem when it takes hours to traverse.

Need a favor from a 2010-2011 LC Owner

Hello all, I have a 2010 LC that is missing the remote that controls the rear dvd screen. I have a universal IR "learning" remote. So I need to find a 2010-2011 LC owner that has their remote so i can "teach" my universal remote the ir codes with it. Nothing will happen to the owner's oem remote...

Gorges State Park/ Chestnut Mtn Road

Finally made it out to Gorges and rode Chestnut Mtn Rd / Auger Hole Rd all the way to the NC/SC line. There was a closed gate there. I did go through a few open gates, which I think will be closed starting 1/1.

Gorges State Park/ Chestnut Mtn Road

Another bump for this old thread...I came across a Tacomaworld post saying the gate at the NC-SC line was open connecting Auger Hole Rd and Musterground Rd. Was wondering if anyone had any intel? https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/chestnut-mountain-road-runs.516937/page-59#post-22107562

    Resources for Finding Trails

Yeah I’ve actually been down 105 before when backpacking linville gorge. I don’t really see the appeal as a pure off road driving experience. To each his own though.

Thanks for the help everyone. Went on my first trip Fri/Sat, albeit a quick one. I used @izzyandsue's book route and camped on hurricane creek rd and later drove to max patch. I had a great time on the trail. I will say that i was surprised how challenging it is. Most of the internet forums seem...

    Resources for Finding Trails

Hi All, I'm new to off-roading and looking for trails in the Western Piedmont and Mountains region. I'm having a hard time finding good information on trails and routes to take. In general I'm looking for mild-medium routes that would be suitable for a weekend camping trip. I downloaded the...
