Haha thanks like I said there was a lot of learning and a lot of memories in that truck. My friend Jon who worked at Ironpig Offroad and I did our first 3 link on that truck before he passed, and my wife and I painted the truck over a holiday weekend in Lance's shop before she passed. Cancer...
Yeah no built thread unfortunately and there was a lot of mistakes and learning that took place. And then it changed hands a couple times and sounded like some of the wiring got messy. (Fans wired wrong, lockers not working, etc). But it’s a very cool truck. It was almost completely rust...
Saw a pretty cool tan 55 in Salt Lake City this after noon. Looked to be an early model. Rear window was replaced with metal and had sand ladders mounted there. Had some rusted out rockers and rear quarters. Sounded like a fairly healthy V8. I was rushing to work so no pictures but cool truck!
Soooo another kind of odd ball idea, is that you could put the intercooler behind the radiator. You could get your engine temps lower, it might increase your IAT a little, but not as huge of an issue with a diesel as it is with a gas engine. You would still need the pusher and puller fans, and...
I need to go back and read this whole thread. But it looks like you have an electric pusher and I am guessing 2 electric pullers on the back side? I would probably just take the electric fans off the backside and make a good shroud and use a mechanical fan. I really like electric fans and the...
They are Haneline 3 in 1 Gauges. They no longer offer those gauges, but there should be dip switches on the back of the gauges to be able to get them to read the proper outputs.
It appears Haneline has gone to more electronic gauges, but you might be able to call them at 844.EST.1952 and see...
Housings were heated up with a heat gun and then I just formed them to the fender by pressing them against the lower fender until the curve was achieved. Then drilled the mounting holes in the upper fender.
Congratulations Chris, it has been a long time coming! The swine flu once it gets ahold of you wears down your immune system for ever. That is going to be a mighty fine 55 to cruise the land in.
Haha not my pig any longer. When I heard it was for sale I did email Zack Penney who said he had lost my contact info or would have sold me the truck. There is another guy on mud who is working to buy it, so unfortunately it probably will not be coming home.
Lots of memories in that pig...
Oh @npulver I forgot that the front FZJ80 axle because of the factory steering and steering arms under the knuckle I needed to have a custom high steer made. It was done by OTT but they don't touch the 80 stuff anymore they said it was too time consuming so you would need to go with a hellfire...
