I know this truck! I haven't seen it for several years (and the last time I saw it it was parked in my driveway in Alaska) but I can definitely vouch for the seller. Straight shooter, good with a wrench, knowledgable on old 45's and definitely an enthusiast.
I hope life's being good to you...
The immediate need is handled, Mark, as I picked this set up off the fleabay auction. (I'll always have a problem with calling that a 'win').
I have more than one truck though so I'll need more but in a perfect world I'd be able to let my wallet breath for a little bit. Hate to strain that...
Just sold at a wild price...
Set of 5 in used and not refurbished condition.
$536.76
That'll be a $600 set of hubcaps by the time they're delivered to his place. Amazing. Congrats to the new owner though if it's one of you...
What is the great deal, exactly? The guy blabs about the truck but never does say how much he wants for it. I assume that's Jonathan?
Looks nice and may be put together well but...
I've driven this truck.
It's very well put together and pulls hard. When it comes to an old truck like a 45 appearance is always subjective and my benchmark is whether it stops, turns, and goes well. The Cummins engine pulls hard, the brakes are better than any other cruiser I've ever driven...
The red SWB sold for $8350. I'd say somebody got a pretty good deal.
To help put it in perspective, some nimrod is trying to sell 3 hubcaps exactly like the ones that are on that truck for $400 apiece on fleabay right now.
Lesseee... carry the one, uh... :hhmm:
That'd be $1200 for a...
I'd like to say thanks to TMACK for posting this up and the others that chimed in w/ info. I bought this truck a month or so ago and last weekend picked it up and drove it to Bikerso's shop for some tweaks to make it a more practical DD before shipping it back home to Alaska.
Beautiful truck...
$18442 USD plus freight? That sounds like an xlnt deal for a '45 in that condition assuming freight wouldn't be freakishly high. I can assure you that several on this site have upwards of twice that into their truck. I know I do.
uh... this is a subject that is never discussed at casa...
