    Hood Scoops/Vents

Has anyone who has done this mod recorded OBD-II readings for intake air temp and coolant temp before and after this mod? Would be very interested in these readings.

How do you pack for camping?

Dusty 66- great pic! Where was that taken?

Finally got stuck... (for about 15 minutes anyway)** large picture count warning **

The picture size is great! Would it be too much to ask for people (read: JLam) to stop using outdated resolutions on their monitors? Sorry, pet peeve of mine. ;) Fusion- you got any pics of the FJC actually stuck in the mud?

    Anyone running P305/70/17's?

Dirk- you're right, of course, about the 34" tire size. Not sure what I'm smoking, but I need to go find some more. I'll checkout the non-revos.

    Anyone running P305/70/17's?

SilverFJ- FYI, 305/70s are 32.8" tires, not 34". fadetogrey- I didn't know Bridgestone made 305/70 size tires. I just searched Bridgestone's site and cannot find that size. You sure you're not talking about BFGs?

    Underwhelming

Beowulf- great post! Speaking of which, what is your opinion of the FJC's ATRAC vs. 100 ATRAC vs. 80 lockers?

    Underwhelming

FJCOG- I would hope people on these forums would be open to different opinions. The FJC forum isn't only for people to post about how much they love their FJC's, is it? Toyota people do read this forum, and it is good to get constructive criticism out there. Every vehicle has weak points or can...

    Easy hack for Active TRAC

The average college chick / yuppy-in-the-making driving one (all present company EXCLUDED!) will never use 4-LO. Locking the rear up accidentally / just to see what the switch does could cause loss of vehicle control if used at the wrong speed in 4HI/Normal, so they make sure you're only using...

    Add A-TRAC to your FJ

logic2- I don't even own an FJC, but I'd like to thank you for being a "pioneer" in this ATRAC thing. Great work!

    Why buy the FJ Cruiser?

uhoh- looks like Subaru-terrain to me. Comparisons silly? Sorry, but the XTerra is quite a capable SUV and would definitely give the FJ a run for its money offroad.

FJC with FJ40 emblems - How does it look ?

Not quite accurate- the A440 transmission was used on the 91-92 80-series Landcruisers first. It was then used (with a completely different valve body) on a small Japanese market bus. So the myth about the tranny being "taken from a bus" is not correct.

    Add A-TRAC to your FJ

I don't know about the indicator lights on the FJ Cruiser, but I wonder if the ATRAC light bulb was even put in to the dash on non-ATRAC-equipped FJ Cruisers. I know that non F/R-locked 80s did not have the dash bulbs put in for F/R difflocks. Is it possible the same applies to...

    San Diego Dealer Correspondence

Boston- sdtoyota guy is the one who "does whatever he wants" because he is very obviously a salesman (quite possibly from KMT) childishly responding to mobi-arc's letter. sdtoyotaguy/KMT- keep doing business as you are, and people will just go elsewhere. We have other options, and we'll use 'em...

    My first FJ sighting

I just spotted a blue FJ Cruiser speeding in the left lane of the 405S just south of Westwood tonight. Tried to catch up to him, but he was weaving quite a bit at high speed and it wasn't worth it for me. Plates were blue and had something written on them (I read "distributor" but couldn't get a...

Official Toyota.com LC mini site (new)

Finally found a use for the "ignore" function on this site. First he says he is done complaining about the FJ, then he just can't stop himself. Nothing new in these whiny, immature, waste-of-10-seconds-of-my-life posts that pollute so many threads in the FJ Cruiser forum. <IGNORE Aseif007 ON>

Tell Toyota you want a designer LV edition FJ

Because it is more capable and probably more reliable than just about anything else in its price range, it is cheap, and it is utilitarian in a 2005-sense. It has some of the ideas behind the FJ40 behind it whether you want to admit it or not.
