Overall, that thing is in really nice condition.
Definitely a re-spray going on.
I sure hope they didn't nip those rear quarters to accommodate that bumper.
I'd give my big toe for that sexy transmission hump.
Nice one! I've tried to get three different people to buy that yellow one so I wouldn't. Glad you took it off my conscience, you helped save me from myself a little bit, thanks!
Goes to show how big of a role timing plays when making a deal. I must have pissed that guy off good when I was trying to bring him back down to earth from his $10k fantasies. I reluctantly offered him $4k that day, but he wanted to hold for some phantom on the phone. When I saw it reposted on...
Mine is a '65, vin #: FJ45-22887. Looks like yours is '65 as well. In '66 they went to a short roof overhang front and rear and a fuel door was added over the gas cap.
Nice one! Congrats, you did well to get that for $2k. Good to hear the owner came to his senses over the deal. Also glad this one got saved by a fellow mudder, it's life is on the upswing.
Now I see the Facebook link on the first post is for a different truck. I don't see any link for the yellow LV that appears later in the posts, maybe @Unimogguy can help? I'm hopeful this one makes it to a good home.
Hard to tell from the pics but that looks like disintegrated plastic outdoor carpet to me, also looks way too bonded to the floors to be comfortable with. My front mats are gone, but the rear factory mat on mine was Toyota's Pyramid Vinyl, not glued down.
I still think there's a lot of truck...
Sucks they glued down some carpet at some point, there's likely to be problems with those floors. Engine pics would be nice.
On a positive note, those rear corners are so square it made me weep a little.
Looks like it just popped back up on Craigslist. Same owner still and back to $2500. If he will actually take that amount for it, its probably worth it.

Sorry I didn't reach out, I was pressed for time. It was a 1700 mile loop for me between Saturday am and Monday am. My only stops were for gas and food.
