What's up guys, been a while. So I recently upgraded to 37's and I'm having the infamous death wobble. It only occurs when I'm going down the road between speeds of 25-45mph & only after running over a bump in the road like pothole or something. Otherwise when smooth road driving it's fine...
i found my problem... toe in! I was at 1-1/4"!!! Something to think about is when you go with a taller tire your toe in increases. I'm around 1/2" now, I still might go less but at least the death wobble is gone. Feel slight wobble at 50mph but before, couldn't even take it past 30mph or so...
I recently went from BFG KM2 35's to a 16.5 wheel for the infamous 37" Humvee tire. I'm having some death wobble issues at low speeds (15-40mph). I've confirmed that wheel bearings are tight, king pin bearings are relatively new, tre's are tight (no visible slop), knuckle steering arms are...
ok let's start with the simple stuff. is there fluid in the clutch master reservoir? The slave cylinder might need to be bled, this is a 2 person job unless you are MacGyver or superman.
my $0.02. 35's seem to look and perform best on SOA using old saggy springs. When you AAL old saggy springs, or buy all new springs, 35's are not the right look IMO. I think the look you have right now is perfect, 35's w SUA so try and keep that same wheel well filler if you can. If I were...
I had a similar whistling sound a long time ago, above 2500 rpm & caused hesitation. Turned out I had a bad egr valve. Replaced it with a used one and it went away. Do you have a vacuum routing diagram? If not, i'd get one and check, re-check, then check again every fn vacuum line on the...
Holy mother!!! Thanks for sharing & glad you are still here on this earth! Somebody please send the guy in chat wanting an MR2 for his son a link to this!
sorry, I had a feeling you would take it that way. yes, I understand conversion.
so most people who like to save money like me will decide to use a type B belt in general than pay a higher price for a 14mm one. Type B belts fit better in the stock crank pulley imo than A, not just belt width...
Thanks. Not trying to be a smart ass here, just stating the fact that a size B (5/8" belt) is closer in dimensions to a 14mm than size A...1/2"(aka 12.7mm) ;)
Hi Georg, what v-belt size is that pulley for? As you know, the yota pump pulley is for a B-size (5/8" wide belt) which shares with the crank and water pump. The Sag pump is more commonly supplied with an A-size pulley like most GM's did back then. What I had to do was bore out my yota pulley...
