i went with middle row honda odyssey, im 5'8" and appreciate the couple inches higher i sit now. cut down u-bolts and welded in for mounts. both front seats pop out now in seconds, and they both recline too.
hello all, the linkage keep(small plastic piece) that holds the linkage to the lever has broken on the push button linkage allowing it to fall off the lever preventing the exterior push button from opening the hatch. the interior lock pull linkage works fine still. Are there any fixes to...
Hello all, I have a stiff pedal with little to no stopping, I think my master cylinder has been going for awhile. I'm running the original brake system with a chevy v8 and 35" tires on my 85' 60. Should i stay original or are there better options? thanks, Chris
i did both, sprayed some bolts and sprayed holes. the holes still threaded in with not too much problem. i liked the shiny look on the black floor better than black bolts on black. hardware store bolts would have been the easiest way. i did not use seam sealer, just nice thick coats of spectrum...
i've quite a few at upholstery shops. and drilled out the oddball sizes to match. i wouldn't drop anything with an edge on it, but it is plenty strong to crawl around on and set stuff on. i'm very satisfied with the results. i did not do the firewall, i did full floors and up the b-post to the...
i just finished a spectrum interior application on my 60. be warned, it is not bedliner! it is denser and made for sound and vibration dampening. i ran 1/4 inch rubber mats for protection and now i can pull body plugs and rinse out the interior after it gets muddy. the spectrum works great for...
Hello all, after my spring over and v8 swap, my 60 is a tad higher in front. i'm adding a leaf to the factory rear spring pack from another factory rear spring pack. it's a dd with 33's that also goes wheeling and tows light loads. do you have any input on which length leaf i should use? should...
I'm in the middle of rebuilding a rear end with 230k and no apparent problems at axle bearings or seals. is there an appropriate mileage to replace these, other than when they break? or will the bearings run forever? thanks, chris
i dumped mine out where you said with a generic muffler, it still sounds great, i was able to lose the cat , though. my o2 sensor is before the y on the pass. side.
second that, don't do driveshafts until your swap is in place. you can then check your angles and adjust or go dc. the rear angle is especially important, since you don't drive the freeway in 4wd. you might be able to get away with shims in the rear to get you back in phase.
it sure felt aluminum, not sure. i just rebuilt mine using somebody's thread where they posted the fsm. i had a shop press the front output, but was able to do the rest in my garage with various sockets and hammers.
