Yes @4wdgr8r got it all done. Been using it for over a year now. Game changer.
Summers I have cooled seats and during winter I am nice and cozy (very nice when it’s -30 degrees in Montana).
I have an 89 FJ62 with a 6.2L LS Swap and 6L80 transmission.
$40k is going rate.
Engine and tranny were brand new from Chevrolet. Cost included fabrication, Advanced Adapter for TCase, wiring, exhaust.
I haven’t upgraded my brakes. I have an OME suspension, lots of bling - Front, Rear...
@Rob81 I have 6.2L LS3 with a 6L80 mated to the original Toyota Transfercase with an Advanced Adapter in-between the Transfercase and Transmission in my 1989 FJ62. Happy to answer what I can.
Howdy Folks,
I recently bought a Taxa Mantis Overland 19' trailer and I've been towing it with my 2018 LC. It weighs around 3,500lb, but with camping supplies probably around 4,000 or so.
Anyway, my 1989 LC has a 6.2L LS Swap with a 6L80 transmission (I've got about 6000 miles ) and I have...
Decided to go with Safety Restore for all of my seatbelts. Sent them my old set and got them back about a week later with all new webbing, also had them redo the locking mechanisms.
They even sewed in the old Toyota tags which I thought was a little comical and cool at the same time.
Replacing the tired, half-shattered windshield washer fluid container had been high on my list of nice to haves.
After the filter fell into the container - and seeing that the cap has been gone for years, I decided the time had come to buy new.
Easy to install, there is really only one bolt...
For this mini-project, I was trying to finish my passenger side cargo trim to grey from brown.
Luckily, fellows Cruiserhead with a 1985 FJ60 gave me his no longer needed cargo panel.
I was able to stencil the pattern from my FJ62 cargo panel and cut out the speaker hole.
Felt good getting...
I had the CruiserCrap center console installed, after getting the heater/ cooler rocker switches installed for the seats. I like how the leather accents the seats.
Turned out pretty awesome.
Small update on a recent project. I decided to add some rivnuts to the back of the rear bench, so that I could attach D-Rings for the kids car seats LATCH system.
Car seats are still primarily attached via seatbelts, but this helps with any swaying on turns.
SEM tends to be the way to go - but I am not sure about the Ivory. I've been using their Graphite color for swapping old brown interior parts to gray (the opposite of what you are doing).
Thanks @Spike Strip - Yeah, I decided to call up Toyota Parts today and spoke with two guys. Everyone agreed that these bolts were only sold with the seatbelt assembly.
Their advice was to take a bolt with me to a hardware store and look for a 10.8 version, so I can check the threading. I...
Thanks @Spike Strip but I don’t see a single person talking about the OEM Part Number or where to purchase new bolts.
My preference is to just add a bunch to my next Toyota order. Also seems like there is confusion on threading in there too.
I have all of my seatbelts off to Safety Restore for new retractor mechanisms and rewebbing.
One thing I haven't found yet on partsouq or in the forum is if we can buy replacement OEM bolts for our seatbelts.
I read they are
M11 x 1.25
But, does anyone know the part number for them? Since...
Has anyone dealt with windshield wipers that "over-rotate". I recently added the 4-Runner wiper arms. At this point they are about 1/3 of the way up the windshield, so that when the wiper arms are rotating downward they don't go past the windshield and onto the Cowl.
Having trouble adjusting...
Over the last two years I've spent a fair amount of timing scouring eBay, Craigslist and ih8mud and Facebook Marketplace TLC forums trying to find blue/grey parts for my swap.
Although I did a great job finding parts (I mean I bought stuff from ALL over the world for this build) , I could...
In yet another bout of "while you're in there" and "before you put the headliner back in" - I finally got around to replacing the ancient tubing for the rear washer fluid.
It was pretty easy to fish the line through after taping the new tubing to the old and pulling it through the chassis and...
Following the mirror installation, I decided to lay down MORE sound deadener. Previously around Thanksgiving/Christmas last year I added Lizardskin Sound and Thermal insulation to the interior. But I had not done the doors, quarter panels or the tailgate.
I started with 80mil Butyl - from...
