Hello all, I've looked around and have found a lot of different information on this topic. I have an 83' FJ60 that I am finishing up a carb rebuild. The jets were damaged during tear-down and need to be replaced. The sizes I pulled out were 147 and 200 as far as I can tell.
My rig is...
My de-smogged fj60s eliminator pulley/bracket is totally destroyed. I would like to replace using the same style but don't know where to locate one? I know there are many other options out there, but I would like to stick with this style if possible. Anyone know who made/makes this part?? Or any...
The quality is OK not high end stuff. It's fairly heavy with pretty decent poles. But it packs up will stay in the back of my cruiser from now on. Sets up in just a few minutes with no help needed.
I'm pretty sure you can set it up however you wanted. It has bungee adjustable lashings. Additionally I bought some marine suction cup to down straps so I can put those on the body or windows wherever I want to connect it.
How bad is your power steering leaking? I have a power steering pump off of an 83 fj60 with less than 150k on it. I can't swear it doesn't leak but when it was pulled there was no signs of leaking.
I'd say that's about average considering all the added weight you have. I drive a 60 with stock suspension and tires and only get 14 mpg on average.
Considering the 62 is already heavier than the 60 then adding extra weight I'd assume that's about right.
A decent tune up may help, as well as...
Just got this "king camp" awning to use in Big Bend next week. Overall it's pretty nice, I'm happy with it and it sets up easy as could be. Lots of shade and packs up pretty small. Not a bad deal overall!
I paid 12K for a super clean FJ60 with a 3B turbo diesel, lift and a few other nice mods. It's worth waiting for the right rig. They are out there! I paid $900.00 for my first 60 four years ago. It was CLEAN! just had to rebuild the engine. For some reason the price of 60's seem to be really...
what you can do... which I recently did. Disconnect your battery and then get your fuse block loose. You need to remove some air ducting to get it out easily. Then locate something that is operated by switched power such as the cigarette lighter. Splice in your switched wire there, then you also...
So the title is pretty understandable I think. I bought an 85 60 with a 3BT installed and as far as I can tell stock differential gearing. I love driving it around town, but on the highway it's rough. Plus the MPG's aren't great at all i'm talking 13-15 MPG's. Trust me I know, I haven't bought...
I'm just enjoying "dönner" for now, no major tear downs...yet. We have been doing a little wheeling around where I live outside of Fort Hood. That is where the pictures were taken. We have to be careful because i'm fairly sure it's 95% military training ground. :D
My inner animal spirit is a...
So. I'm Ryan and i'm an addict. I can prove it.
It all started several years ago with my first purchase of a 1983 Fj60 with a blown motor. Totally torn apart planning the "ultimate rebuild". We all know the story. I dropped some ducketts into that thing. Mad ducketts.... It was never...
