    1988 FJ62 with H55F Conversion for Sale

Like it or not, I agree w/ NCFJ....I've been watching the prices of decent quality 60 series go way up the past while. In fact I would say if you can run across that rare 60 series that has low miles and rust free original paint, it's definitely investment grade these days. I'm not sure I see...

    H42 Swap

What he said...I posted up the list of parts and logistics on this a few years ago when mine was done...exactly same swap as ur doing

    60 Series Flatbed/Ute/Tray back etc...

Just saw this thread and thought I'd add to it as when I was searching for 60 series flatbed pics before I did mine, I never could come up with much. I'm the owner of the 62 that Don (FC Fab) built. I just had Don build me an alternate bed that can be swapped out when I don't want to run the...

Meet “Rudy Redford” – The JDM Fire/Safari Rig with 5,653 Original Miles

First off, Killer score on the fire truck...friggin love those things. Second, im the owner of the "FJ31" and now that I've had a chance to camp in it this summer, i can tell you this configuration just flat out works. Its awesome having so much room to put s*** once you unpack....no more...

    60 Series Pickups

Its actually sort of an optical illusion and there is allot more space between the top of the rear tires and frame of the bed. That said when shes fully loaded(VERY HEAVY) and under full stuff the tires do shine the aluminium frame....but nothing that interferes with normal operation.

    60 Series Pickups

Moldy Oldy Ok...I know this thread is older than George Burns, but I saw the title and remembered how hard I had searched for any pics of chopped up 60'd only to be dissapointed, so I though, hey...what the hell..I'll post up. At some point when I have way to much time on my hands I'll do a...

fj62: out with the auto, in with the crawler

Yep...my favorite trail by far....nice and long, good sections of tough terrain, remote, scenic... and you're completely fawked if you have a bad breakdown up there...what more can a guy ask for?:)

fj62: out with the auto, in with the crawler

Actually we never choped the rear 1/4's at all...Luke just made a simple tube bumper for it with a 2" rec'vr and 2 HD tow points. Here is a shot that shows a little more of the bumper, but it's still not great. Once I get the truck back in week or so I can take some more detailed shots and...

fj62: out with the auto, in with the crawler

Another quick update...first shots of the start of the front stinger / winch mount. Luke's adding a couple of mounting points for two 9" lights in addition to the stinger bar. Will post more pics of the final product.

fj62: out with the auto, in with the crawler

Ok...it's been a few months and I havent posted on MUD for a while, but I thought I'd resurect this thread with a couple of pics after the SOA was complete. It's back up at Lukes over X-mas getting the front stinger bumper / winch mount done. Once I get her home she'll be getting rear cabinets...

fj62: out with the auto, in with the crawler

Ya...I figured that with 4.11's I'll have a bit of OD built in for freeway speeds, plus they are a bit stronger than 4.56's or 88's and it saves another $350

fj62: out with the auto, in with the crawler

Well I headed to Georg's & picked this beast up yesterday. Upon arrival, I crawled underneath for a peek at Georg's handy-work... everything looked like brand new! All his time cleaning & painting really paid off. From top to bottom, this job turned out 100% factory looking. And the skid /...

fj62: out with the auto, in with the crawler

Georg, I'm SO frikken stoaked...damn that looks good! Don did an awesome job on the X-member...that thing looks smokin. I get more and more excited every day thinking about getting this thing done and actually wheeling it. Should be very interesting to see how the test drive goes. I can...

    conversion h55f

I'm doing this exact swap right now except with a 4spd (same procedure though)...well I'm not doing it, my friend Georg at Valley Hybrids in Stockton is:) https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=125194&highlight=crawler You will need to find an 86 or 87 FJ60 donor rig for the...

fj62: out with the auto, in with the crawler

Here's the deal...I spoke with Marlin himself at length about this project as the original plan was to set this rig up with the late model H42 & keep the extension spacer (for the lurkers that don't know, the 86 & 87 FJ60 4spd came w/ a spacer that made the H42 the same length as a H55:) )...

This looks SO awesome Georg! The more I see how much work is going into this, the more I'm glad I'm having you do it:flipoff2: If I did this it'd look like s***..I just don't have the patience...that reminds me, did I ask if it'll be ready for pick-up tomorrow:)

Looking good Georg...Can't wait to see how much that 4spd wakes up the 3FE, should really rotate, especially with those dinky 29" tyres:D
