So I have pretty lose steering and I'm trying to adjust it but noticed the relay rod ball socket has come loose and if I take the castle nut off the pitman arm it will pull out completely. I tried to lock it back in with a floor jack but it's not going back in. Any help would be greatly...
For the most part. It's still got a hesitation every now and then around 40 mph where it seems like it's not shifting like it should but it doesn't do it all the time
It basically feels like it's in neutral when it slips. I'm not sure how high it would rev if I left my foot on the gas while its slipping. I've seen it hit up around 4000.
That's hilarious. I adjusted the kick down cable and got my atf level more accurate and that seemed to help. I still have some slippage between 25-40 mph if I have to stomp on the gas. If I baby the gas pedal it seems to act as it should. Any other suggestions?
My tranny has been slipping for a couple of weeks. I can only get up to about 25-30 in drive and will have to down shift to 2nd to get it to keep going. Sometimes 3rd will work but most of the time I have to go down to 2nd. Once I hit around 40 mph I can shift back into drive and it will...
I had the same issue with mine. I had some work done and had to remove the drive shaft. In the process when it was put back it wasn't balanced properly. Took it in to be balanced and all is well.
That's what I was thinking after I found out the cost difference between the stock and ARB. So if you're in the market for an ARB and have full coverage just dent up your stock bumper on a tree and get an ARB for the cost of your dectuctable and some change.
So I'm pulling around the back of the house to hook up to a trailer a couple of weeks ago. Not paying attention I clipped a tree with my driver side fender and front stock bumper. The fender and bumper are now bent beyond repair. I take it to the shop to get an estimate for repair. They want...
For some reason the fuse for the EFI keeps getting blown. I've replace three or four of them now. It doesn't happen at any specific time or amount of time after driving or sitting or whatever. Twice I've been driving just to have the thing blow and have to coast to a stop. I'm not sure...
I have a 1990 FJ62 with California Emissions. I keep getting CEL code 71. I've cleaned the EGR and the EGR temp sensor which I'm told is only on CAL emissions. I've done a search but the only suggestion was to clean the sensor, and reset the code, which I have done and the light is still...
