    Rapovt's HZ60 build

Did you upgrade to 4Runner calipers as well when you did the master cylinder upgrade? This made ALL the difference for me. I installed a T100 master cylinder when my original unit failed before upgrading the calipers and hardly noticed any difference. Last year I finally got around to upgrading...

    Stumped by intermittent starting issues

The harness is from an '86, but I've got an FSM from '84. There doesn't appear to be a relay.

    Stumped by intermittent starting issues

Thanks for posting the diagrams, Slow Left! The starter is a 24V unit that with the 1HZ and was rebuilt with 12V components. As far as the wiring goes, I should probably check a late FJ60 diagram for a relay and then see if that might be the issue. Or maybe I have no relay, which could be the...

    Stumped by intermittent starting issues

It's a ~'93 1HZ. I should note, the truck has a full '86 FJ60 wiring harness. The 1HZ starter was rebuilt the first time to 12V years ago, and rebuilt again last summer. The starter wiring is pretty simple. There's a 4 AWG cable from the battery positive (+) to the starter, and 4 AWG ground...

    Stumped by intermittent starting issues

Background: 1986 HJ60 with 1HZ, converted to 12V with dual batteries Symptoms: The starter will not crank intermittently. Sometimes it cranks normally with good power, but other times when turning the key I hear one click and the voltage gauge drops, but the starter does not crank. When this...

    Cable lockers

If I recall correctly, the "tab" TLC Norway is referring is attached to the front actuator rod concealed behind the plastic box mounted in the cab. When the front lever is pulled, the tab "catches" the rear rod and both lockers are engaged. This could be modified to allow the front locker to be...

Bolt on turbo upgrade now available - 12HT/1HDT and 1HD-FT

I already have the manifold and an almost new CT26 bolted up to it. Would you consider a core exchange?

Bolt on turbo upgrade now available - 12HT/1HDT and 1HD-FT

Just out of curiosity, how would this turbo behave on a 1HZ? Not looking for a lot of pressure (obviously), but I would love a little more low-end.

    Availability of FF rears

I bought one from Cruiser Parts. That was a couple years ago, but I remember they had several. Tried them yet?

    Factory Hand throttle

I definitely do NOT use it as a "cruise control" Cold start and low-range off-road idle-up ONLY. Also, in it's highest setting my had throttle holds a max of 2500rpm in neutral, so there is no concern of red-lining. I only use it off road for crawling where it allows me to load the brakes...
