    Funny Looking SOA??

Yeah, I had really flat springs and I thought it looked great. I could get all sorts of flexy and never come close to rubbing. I have a set of 33x10.5 with more than half their tread for $100 if you want to try it out for cheap. I am on the western slope of CO, so not too far from UT. 33's...

    Funny Looking SOA??

You get a much nicer ride with SOA, but 31's would look tiny. I ran 33's on my SOA, and they looked pretty small. 33's give you a nice (cheap) rubber overdrive, then when you have the cash to re-gear go with 35's + and a h55.

For those who have a 327

What about the 25 year rule? Is that a state by state thing? I had no issues here on the western slope of Colorado. The people republic of Boulder might be different, but then you just register it as a classic and no more emissions testing.

For those who have a 327

My 5.3l (an updated 327 I think) is awesome. The only thing I would do different is the AA motor mounts. They both tore in half the first time I got after it in 4-low. A sturdy motor mount and your good to go.

    New Interior?

man-a-fre doesn't seem to have it anymore, but I am looking for a molded rubber type replacement interior. Anyone know a source? Is it all that it is made out to be? I was going to simply line it with something, but I now think that I want a little more sound control. Carpet won't work, I...

    H55 HP/TQ Limits

I have a 5.3l Vortec with Howell's H.O. program and I don't hesitate to dump the clutch. Only issues so far were the crappy Advanced Adapter's motor mounts I used, they split right in half. a through bolt fixed that for the moment.

SOA Stock springs thoughts on rear pinion angle

I just swapped in a Tom Woods DC driveshaft, and I can't believe what a difference it made. I have been trouble shooting for over a year on all sorts of little annoying problems that I thought were caused by my motor. The drive shaft with the DC joint instantly solved 99% of what was bothering...

    odometer reading with 33's

Yeah, this one is confusing. I have the same size tires, 33s, and multiply by 1.2. I think that is a little high, I did the math once and I think the correct multiplier is 1.18. I think stock tires are about 28" tall. 33/28=1.178. I am no mathlete, but at an indicated 55mph, the highway speed...

    Best AT tire?

I have about 100 miles on my new BFG AT tires in the same size as my old MT. I couldn't be happier. I can actually listen to the radio on the highway. Thanks for all the input.

    Best AT tire?

I will look them up. Are they readily available? Tuff looking, at this point, is not a concern.

    Best AT tire?

Yeah, I have been hearing good things about the new KM2 tire too. I hope to get some for my 40 someday. Check this out. denmantire.com, go to the on highway consumer tires, coyote at, 305/85r-16 or 36x10.5. Anyone seen or used these before. The guy at national tire siad they don't have...

    Best AT tire?

Thanks for the testaments. I am open to going to a 16" wheel, but I don't really understand the metric sizing. I would like to stay on the narrow side of things. what would the metric size be?

    Best AT tire?

Do you think that is good or bad? I also have to drive to Boston and back with tools. I am hoping to hear about a high milage quiet tire. Maybe the 80 series guys are more versed in this type of tire. I am leaning towards the BFG because its the only one in the 10.5 width, right?

    Best AT tire?

I am sure this has been hashed out a thousand times, but what's new out there? Reallity has struck and my 60 drives me to work every day. My tired 33x10.5 15 BFG MTs are loud and over kill for my current daily driving situation. The standard trade would be the BFG AT in the same size, but is...

    Brazil *J-60/62's? E-85 question thread

I put in a '03 flex fuel chevy motor. Probably not what you are looking for, but it does work great. I will get a long range tank when (if ever) the fuel tank goes bad.

    Finally, out to play!

SOA, Proffitt's did the cut and turn for me when I did the soa. I kept the stock springs and used perches and other small parts that Proffits makes. I think I ended up using ranchos for a lifted dodge, they are cheep and seem to work great. After puling the Bronco up some pretty good hills...

Water pulled the mechanical fan into his brand new radiator, bummer. His wife is gonna be pissed!

    Finally, out to play!

Anders, with no front fenders, locked front and rear, stock motor, and some strangely disturbing rear flares. This thing goes anywhere, its awesome.
