    HJ60 fuse panel and alternator

Does anyone know, or have a photo of the interior fuse panel, with what goes where - as far as what fuse is for what? How about the fuse for the gauges/alternator? How many amps should this fuse (fuses?) be???

    Guages not working

True, the speedo should be run by a cable. I'll have to check with her today.

    Guages not working

As far as I understand it......my girlfriend is telling me about it.......they are ALL not working currently. I'm dying to look at it myself, but this work crap is screwing with my schedule.

    Guages not working

So my gauges have been an issue for several years....(1984 HJ60). It used to be that the key cylinder needed to be sort of wiggled or partially turned to get the gauges to work, but a few weeks ago the gauges were working, then stopped working - the wiggle no longer works. I am naturally 1,000...

Relation between gauges not working and starter solenoid?

I was away for 6 months and my girlfriend was using my HJ 60. One day, while at the dentist or something, it wouldn't start when she got back out. She had a few guys try to get it going, but couldn't, so she had it towed to a house where it could be parked until I got back in the country. I...

    2H Starter

Can anyone send me some photos of what their starter relay looks like on their HJ 60 2H?? I think mine has a "custom" relay off of a boat motor, but I am not sure. Thanks in advance! My HJ is a 1984 if that makes any difference.

    additional temperature gauge sensor location

Thanks for the quick responses. What a pita...as I guess everyone knows, the hole in the top of the head is super shallow, and so is the hole in the thermostat housing. I put one of those new, short electrical sending units in the thermostat housing, but don't have a gauge to hook to the one...

    additional temperature gauge sensor location

Did you ever find a solution for this? I can't seem to fit the sensor in the spot on the thermostat housing location. The gauge I bought has a sensor that is too long, and the adapter threads don't seem to work......

    Ok, thanks

    2H starter solenoid contacts

Thanks.... I might just have to order a set and hope for the best. Since the site had multiple starter outputs, I was hoping to get the right ones....but I don't know the output of the starter for a 2H. Do you know?

    2H starter solenoid contacts

I have a 1984 HJ60 with a 2H motor. I want to replace the starter solenoid contacts. Does someone know which ones are correct for this starter. I have the 10mm holes...that I know. What I don't know is the proper shape, because currently my starter has two different shapes. There seem to be...

    Heater Tubes HJ60

OK, Thanks. I'll probably pull a plug and take it to a place here locally that deals in all sorts of bolts - they should be able to match it.

    Heater Tubes HJ60

Also...the vertical piece I see in some pictures, is that a check valve or anything special? Are the tubes basically just tubes? Can I just put on some elbows? Or is there anything I need to make sure I do so I don't screw it up???

    Heater Tubes HJ60

Excellent, thanks. Do you know if the fittings that go into the head are something special - or do you know the size and thread pitch? I can pull out the plugs, but it would be easier if someone just knows...

    Heater Tubes HJ60

Does anyone have access to the steel tubes that go across the injector/valve cover area connecting the heater core valve area to the head and water pump area?....or can rubber hose be used? My heater was totally bypassed because it was in Panama (not much need for heat there).

Vin number on non US hj 60

That sure is pretty. I made it to the US. Are these the plates that can be riveted to the door to make insurance companies happy? It looks like I'll need to make a new VIN number.

Vin number on non US hj 60

I hope that's right. I've got a bunch of borders to cross, with a bunch of mental midgets to deal with before I even get to Texas.....and it'll be a slooooow drive - but what an adventure!! Thanks for all of the input everyone

Vin number on non US hj 60

Yeah, it's been repainted years ago, not a particularly fancy job. The usual location on the door doesn't exist... I don't see the dash/windshield one either. There's no winch or control for it.... unfortunately. I spent some time looking for the numbers on the frame with a putty knife to...

Vin number on non US hj 60

Thanks again. I think it was imported into Panama a few years back, from South America. The frame has welded extensions on the front of it...so I can't seem to find any other numbers, other than the firewall numbers.
