    dbbowen - check the PCV valve. It could be stuck open.

    Anyone figure this out? I have a hand throttle to install. Toyota has discontinued the part 90179-20005 which is the proper nut.

    I used to have an FJ-62 before the divorce. :doh: I had a problem like that and I thought I had it traced to some of the igniter wires. Never got to fully test the theory....:D

    Here is a good paint code reference from Cool Cruisers. Cruiser Color Codes I am a fan of 416, 621, and of course "pumpkin". My FJ-60 is currently Tan - 464.

    My first Cruiser was an '88 FJ-62 and the previous owner had redone the interior in leather. It looks and smelled great. Lost that rig in a divorce...:doh:.

    Everything is fine again? When I had a hiss like you described, it turned out to be the booster. Worked for a few days with the hiss and then gave out. Hard as heck to stop without a booster!:doh:

    Wheel spacers? Anybody use them!

    I run the small 1/4" to 3/8" ones on the front. Would rather not , but needed to keep my aftermarket wheels from rubbing slightly.

    In case anyone needs it, Binswanger Glass can get PPG windshields. I spoke with a tech this morning that was fixing a Tahoe at work.
