Damn Paul. So s***ty this happened to you. I know how much work, time and energy you have put into her. I have the day off tomorrow and am driving into Pdx tomorrow. Will take a few side streets and keep a look out.
I run Duratrac's on my 89 FJ62. They are a loud tire especially at speeds above 55 mph. Good tires in the dirt and mud and have held up well (20,000 miles). Mounted on stock wheels and have had no issues. Only aired down to 20psi once in the sand and no issues.
Good catch. Just think how many 60's/62's out there that didn't catch this in time. Good job on all your hard work. Your collection of Land Cruisers is awesome!!
Thanks. That's what I thought. I have the lower ac housing off right now, but didn't want to release the r12 replacing the switch. Was hoping it might be connected to a Schrader valve.
Checking to see if anyone knows if the A/C pressure switch is open to the A/C refrigerant line (i.e. I need to depressurize the A/C before installing) or can it be directly screwed onto the line? @red66toy do you remember when replacing yours? Thanks for your thoughts.
I did purchase one of these from cruiserparts (2) years ago. Since it was a new aftermarket I remember getting it 5-7 business days which I was ok with because my other valve was falling apart.
You probably already know but cruiserparts.net carries aftermarket replacements.

Wow. Now with all that dough you can hunt down and find your next project.
I would be interested in your rear shoulder seat belts if they are brown and you didn't sell them to the high bidder.
PM sent. I live near Canby and can email Doug @ SMS. I know of a few other mudders who have use SMS for FJ60 style seat covers. 62 style in gray and brown would be a nice option for others looking for near OEM replacements.
