I get fumes too. I suspect mine is coming from the rear inner fender wells. Where the rear seat back mounts to floor/wheel well. Mine are rusted thru...basically my rear seat back is attached at the top only when latched. Bottom flops around, being held in place when seat bottom is pressed...
Are you saying use oil to tap the hole? Then clean out the hole after tapping with shop vac. Then Mace's method of cleaning out hole. Then I'm ready for loctite and plugs. ????
Kewl. Thanks. Tapping the existing hole sounds like a better plan for me. I'm sure I would find a way to fawk it up if I were to start drilling.
Great way to clean it out too.
Nice work! And awesome truck. Can't wait to see it with the round eyes!!
Not trying to detour onto a backspacing debate....but what is the BS on your new rims? I really like those and want to order a set.
Not trying to hi-jack. Just sharing what I came up with.
Still have some trimming to do on the floor mat. Just waiting for it to flatten out a little more. Also need 4 more I-bolts to finish it off.

Good customer service. And they are in the US, so shipment will arrive quickly.
I ordered two from them. And wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
Good luck
With both tires off the ground, both will spin together. If one tire is stopped, the other should spin and you'll hear the "ratcheting" as it is unlocked.
Bell housing pan (flywheel/clutch inspection cover?) from 86 fit 83?
I'm not too sure about the proper terminology...."bellhousing pan" or "flywheel/clutch inspection cover."
Mine has been MIA since the day I bought the truck. Is the bell housing the same from 83 to 86? Or will an 86 cover...
