Not sure who this question is directed too, but I’ve painted 60 and 80 series cruisers using the above methods. Of course the later 89 series has a leather pad, but it can be removed and the lid painted. The 60 series is pretty straightforward. The lid shines up just as well. No problems at all.
I’ve asked the same thing. He doesn’t plan to have the SRS system functional, but it’s all there. All he needs to do is plug the sensor in. But... we’ve already removed the dash indicator light bulb, so of course, there’s no going back now 🤣
It’s held up very well. It’s been a few years and still looks new. Even after a few wheeling trips up to Colorado. I’d like to also see how tire paint holds up.
