Sounds like you've got that "oh $hit what did I get myself into" moment! Although it seems difficult, not to worry, it's not rocket science. I'll try my best to help you as much as I can.
Step 1- go buy beer
Step 2- get a Factory Service Manual or anything that explains the wiring color code...
Been reading thru the treads on coil pack replacement. What I haven't seen yet is if it's possible to statically check resistance of the pack? There are 4 terminals on the plug connection. I've tested resistance between pins 1-3 & 1-4 (left to right 1-4). Each showing between 24.5~27.0 k ohm
well lucky me i found the problem. went to get in the truck and try cranking but as usual, my wife's seat adjustment barely allowed me to get in. So usually, while standing by the door i'll just reach down and push the seat adj lever back until the space is enough for my skinny a$$. When i...
Here are the symptoms:
-battery has full charge
-when you insert key, absolutely no power, everything is dead
-after multiple times of key in/out, finally it will come alive and start as normal
-while driving, radio will intermittently turn off/on. I suspect this is the keyed 12V wire causing...
I called the tire shop & they said to bring pics and/or bad parts to them. We will see if anything happens. I was lucky w rear passenger side. Pads were thin but not down to metal so I saved a rotor....damn biotch! ;)
Also, had to steal lugs off other wheels so running w 4 until I can go by Yota...
Found a new rotor for $60, 3 new studs and set of Wagner Gold pads...could not find lug nuts. Used two different spacers & my impact to seat new studs. Use a flashlight on the backside to make sure fully seated (no knurling showing)
Made a few phone calls to find parts in stock. Also had a nice argument w the biotch from parts store about whether or not the rotor could be turned down. Book says anything less than 16mm & it's trashed. High points measured 16.35, low points/grooves 16.10mm. She wouldn't turn it...as I walked...
3 of the studs & lug nuts were trashed. I just had brand new tires put on back in April. I have a hard time believing I did this taking the nuts off. Took a sledge and hammered out the 3 bad ones. Also found rear pads down to metal, trashed the rotor.
So the wife calls me on her way to work this am and says "my brakes are making a funny noise". I told her I'd try to stop by her work and take a look but the day went by too fast & she just drove it home. I was waiting in the driveway when she pulled up, rear drivers side sounded awful. Jacked...
