I've seen this on a few threads but haven't used it. I normally use OBD2 plug and the app on my phone for issues... I'm guessing that this does way more than OBDII with an app? Allows you to see/do more? It looks like I can install on my MacBook Pro (How to run Techstream on a Mac -...
this is a good list! Thanks to all of you.
Timing belt and pump were done at 208k
CV’s were repacked with grease @ 215k and were in good shape at the time. May be time to bite the bullet and get new OEM ones. They are expensive though!!
Probably time for new hub flanges and bearing packing...
I'm planning a trip from Minnesota, through the Southwest (Colorado for a wedding and some adventure) and then down through Mexico to Oaxaca. I'll be staying in Oaxaca for about 2.5 months so I would like to have my trusty, and fairly built out 100 series to help with getting around and possibly...
I'm having the same issues. It seems like these are the steps I read from above posts:
1. If both seats are not heating, check the fuse (#61)
2. If one seat is heating and the lights in the center console do not light up, check the connection under the center console. Here's the bulb number if...
Old fiberglass cargo box from the 90’s. Arc is the company name... I put 180w of flexible solar on top to power my aux batteries and installed some Yakima quick connect clamps to make it easy on and off.
It could be your dash indicator lights if you feel/hear it engage and then hear it "snap" on/off. Otherwise, just replace the part listed in this thread and see if that fixes the indicator lights. It's a one banana job and only costs a few bucks.
Sage advice there ^^^
Replace the sensor and exercise the thing off road for about a few weeks to a month. If it’s anything like mine it’ll likely start working intermittently then will work all the time after you wake it up from it’s slumber. Also, once mine started working again and indicating...
I haven't done it yet. I may not need to actually... i brought it into my shop and they didn't think there was a leak so I think I may have been mistaking the ticking for something else. I don't hear ticking anymore... I replaced the spark plugs throughout and the lower ball joints. I have some...
I added the LED's and if I don;t have a bike rack on the rear to block the reverse lighting, its plenty, if you have a spare tire or anythingon your rear bumper, its not enough to put LEDS in the stock reverse light location IMHO.
I have a 2000 100series with 231k miles. Definitely not wanting to spend the $$$ to put new DT or similar exhaust manifolds in with high mileage... Sooooo, I just ordered a bunch of J-B Weld 37901 6 Pack 3 oz. Extreme Heat Temperature Resistant Metallic Paste
I'm hoping to do a shop...
I'm wondering the same thing... I have a 2001 with 233k miles on it and there is a super small clicking sound which could also be something to do with the fan/fanclutch? it is pretty consistently tapping when starting and I believe (haven't really tested) it goes away after the engine heats up a...
Christo, Being arguably the most knowledgeable, or having installed more OME kits than anyone here on 100 series, are there any tricks of the trade with installing OME lifts on these trucks? It seems like kits installed at Slee/by you have virtually no problem yet those installed at other shops...
I was having similar issues with coffee spilling over small pot holes... 285/75/16 BFG KO2, ARB bull bar on front, OME 33000 front/rear, OME Tbars, and med OME coils in back. I lowered my tire pressure from 38-32 all around and that has made a huge difference in ride quality while not...
I'm doing the same thing over the weekend! duplicolor natural white and some fine and super fine sandpaper + air then thin coats over the whole trim piece
Have you determined which paint/color/method to use for it? It seems like masking off the sides of the truck around the trim and slipping some painters paper behind the trim then just doing 3-4 nice thin coats and a clear coat would look very nice and probably only be about 20$ worth of rattle...
